Twilight Singers' cover of What Makes You Think You're The One

[trackaghost]

I thought I'd share this because I love it so much.
It's the Twilight Singers covering Lindsey's Tusk track What Makes You Think You're The One.
I hope you like!

That's a fantastic cover. ( not new for me ofcourse, ;-)

The only thing is: the drums of mick in this song is not to copy. The only one who can hit it Mick-style these days is Jack White's sister i think.

I thought I read somewhere way back when that Lindsey played drums on "WMYTYTO".

No, at least it's unlikely. Maybe he did on a demo, but if I recall correctly Lindsey once said in an interview that recording Micks drumtrack for WMYTYTO was one of the highlights of working with him. Anyone who knows what interview it was so we can fish it out of the blue letter archive?

By the way, I don't think it is possible for Lindsey to hit such a brilliant drumtrack....

FOUND IT!

This is the quote that i remembered: found it on Les' site madnessfades.net

[T]hat’s [What Makes You Think You're the One?] one of the classic drum tracks! I love that. That’s one of the great drum tracks that I’ve ever heard. That’s up there with Instant Karma. That was a great moment. That was just Mick and myself late at night in the studio, me at the piano. We put a cassette player that has one of those really cheap mikes in it, we put that right under his snare, and it was so explosive the way he heard it in the cans, he got off on it, and he just turned into an animal. And it was just two-piece, there was no Christine or anybody putting any constraints on what could or couldn’t be done. That has to rate as one of my top-five moments with the band.
