The ironic thing is that Saddam is still rightfully president of Iraq, as we unlawfully invaded his country and overthrew his government.
He should not be the only one sitting there on trial for crimes against humanity.

Interestingly, I think the two are sep. in a legal sense. In other words, he could still be on trial for those crimes regardless of the legality of our invasion, which was done under false pretense and flat out wrong.

I wasn't asserting that he shouldn't be tried for crimes against humanity, just pointing out the irony of it all.

I know. I was just being idiosyncratic and perhaps more ironic in that if the goal was to prosecute SH as opposed to ridding the world of the falsely asserted imminent threat of the WMD, then SH could have been tried without invading that country in the manner we did. That thought escapes all of the people who could care a less what happens to those people, which also is ironic when you consider that humanitarianism is what they assert in hindsight to justify the invasion of Iraq. In other words, we care so much about the Iraqi's that we kill hundreds of thousands of them and several thousand of the allied troops - but they, like all Muslims, are all terrorists and aligned with OBL and want only to kill Americans and America. Utter rubbish

Yeah yeah yeah, imperialism, human rights, war crimes, that's all great stuff, but seriously, you guys, stop going off-topic, let's focus on what's important here. I mean, that's a really nice blazer.

Why go to Broadway when you can watch this theater from the comfort of your own home?
