I may be incorrect here, and if I am, please correct me, but I believe on Bella Donna for sure and probably also on the Wild Heart, the lettering on the covers were "art", and not "fonts". I pulled out my Bella Donna album, yes the album - it was released on vinyl way before CDs were ever invented.... and in the credits it lists "Logo Design by Mike Manoogian". I'm pretty sure the Wild Heart logo was also done by hand and not on a computer, at least Stevie's name.

They are beautiful designs and lettering, I'm not disputing that. It would be great if there were such a "font" but I don't think that really existed computer-wise in 1981 or 1983. (Sorry.) At least not on a Commodore 64 or whatever computer was out then - my geeky high school friends could probably tell you.

But, you can ask Chris Nicks about the crap on the Street Angel cover. Yuck.

I can totally see Stevie's point of view, there's something very great about the sound of vinyl, art on album covers, albums, (yes vinyl, not CDs) and all that old school stuff.

I grew up in the last generation. I am a silver boy. :-)

Mike Manoogian seems to be famous for logos. JazmenFlowers, I don't know if you are interested in the font used for the lyrics on the Wild Heart, but they look very much like Apple Chancery. I don't think they are that font (probably didn't exist, with that name) but I think it is very close. There are a number of Gothic fonts, and Edwardian script fonts which look very similar to the fonts on The Wild Heart also.
If you have Fontographer, you could imitate the logo font, and make your own.

I think JazmenFlowers was asking if anyone had a font that looked like the writing and logos for those albums, not insinuating that they were fonts when they were put on the albums.
