Question Am I the only

Ledgie who designs their own t-shirts for concerts? I'm going to see U2 in Philly on Oct. 17, & I'm designing my own t-shirt. I've looked a U2's concert t-shirts & some just had words on their shirts. I just can't see spending $30 on a white shirt that just has a big, red "V" on it. I think I can do better than that with my own shirt. Now this is the second time this year that I've this; I designed my own Maroon 5 shirt. I liked Fleetwood Mac's t-shirts during their last tour so I did buy one of theirs (their picture on it) & I liked Stevie's TISL tour shirts & I bought the pink one. But some concert t-shirts really suck. Anyone else ever design their own concert t-shirt?

Wink Yes

Yes, you are.

Well, my mom made a NKOTB jacket with rhinestones back in 1990 and wore it to my first NKOTB concert.

I am wanting to make my own tee-shirt for THG, but not sure what I want to do yet. I have some other things I am going to make as well.

Why am I crafty all of a sudden?

I've seen homemade tees here and there, so you go girl!

Oh, and white shirt with a giant "V" on it? LMAO!! WTH?

Well, Lee i'll admit that I dont know enough about making a shirt to even attempt it. I figure with the time and effort, and materials to make your OWN shirt...might as well spend the $30 and get a tour shirt. Although I have to say I feel like I'm being ass-raped whenever I buy tour merchandise.

When it comes to sewing and stuff forget it. I am clueless so needless to say I have never designed anything.

Well, I'm not into sewing either much except maybe to sew a button back on or something. I'm not talking anything fancy. I just go to my local craft store. I can get a plain t-shirt for about $5. Then I get a pen ($4) that writes in sparkles & an iron-on decoration (maybe about $4 at the most). For instance, for my Maroon 5 t-shirt, I bought an off-white t-shirt, a pen that write red sparkles & two flower, sparkly, blue iron-ons. I did this one front & back. I wrote Maroon 5 on the t-shirt only I did it just like on their CD. If you have their CD, you'll know what I mean. I interlocked the letters together. I got the flower to symbolize their first band which was called Kara's Flowers. Once I ironed on the design, the petals on the flower stood out, giving it a sort of 3-D look. I thought it looked cool. Too bad no one saw it though because it was cold at the outside concert, & I had a jacket over it. I haven't worn it since though. It's hanging of the back of my bedroom door. I've been kind of afraid to wash it; I'm afraid all the stuff might come off of it.

Very cool, but after I'm done buying FM/Stevie tickets, I can't afford clothes on my back. Even if I make them myself...
