PLEASE, go check out this band, Tan-Hauser Gate. 2 of our Ledgies are in the band and the music is awesome!! You can hear clips, see photos, read bios and join the message board. Look, I made a banner and everything!

Moody, etheral, warm vocals, kick-a$$ guitar playing, too many influences between the guys to mention...just go listen!!!

THANKS!!

Now, c'mon, lets spill their names.........it's Seteca and Madformac!

Is it any wonder they haven't been around lately..they've been super busy with all this/rehearsing/promoting and generally getting their act together.
I have the Cd..it's a fantastic effort on everyones part and my fingers are crossed for a very exciting future...given the chance, I can see them challenging any new British group on the scene right now and having seen Franz Ferdinand Live on telly the other night, then, if I was them (FF), I'd definately be worried!

What was the "big friggin' secret" from Post One in this thread, anyway? If two Ledgies have a band, why don't they want us to know??

errr...was there a big secret? oh well...too late now, I've done it!! hahaha.
No big secret..they're good and rearing and ready to go. I'm thinking Linds would be proud to hear how much influence he's had on the lead guitarist

the song "the window" (full version of) has a 5min solo in it. ISA style!
Good luck to 'em I say....

Two guitarists with Turner Model 1's in the same band. That doesn't happen very often.

shackin'up · #8 09-26-2005, 08:14 AM

Check It out and let's discuss their music on their messageboard! I already signed in as shackin'up. Maybe it's nice to keep our screennames so we can simply recognize eachother. Those guys Rock!!!!!!!!!

The Buckguitar from seteca and the knopfler-guitar from Madformac are one thind, but it is also interesting to see Seteca's pedalbox. It's almost as long as his....................

Model 1!

I think everyone knows that I'm at the THG message board. I'm too lazy to come up with another screenname.

I'll officially say, Check out Amirali's (Seteca) and Justin's (Madformac) band, Tan-Hauser Gate. How's that?

If you like the music, please tell your friends and family about the website, spread the word. THANKS!!!!

Hope I get to see the band at Red Rocks one day. Hehe.

tuigirl · #14 09-26-2005, 11:24 AM

[quote]The music is a very strange (but hopefully good!) mix of classic and modern rock, along with some electronica/synth.[quote] Seteca

It's very hard to actually pinpoint any particular style except to say it sounds "big". I swear there's a bit of Pink Floyd and Enigma (remember them!) going on, mixed with Blur, Jethro Tull and LB in places.Something different, instead of some of the rubbish wer'e getting these days .it's such a welcome change to hear something new.
