The show was FUNNY! and the singing was fantastic..that woman has a VOICE on her! She had some great memories to share and even brought up Shady Pines...
It was worth the money and the drive At the beginning of the show she said she really questioned even doing it because she wasn't sure it was appropriate to be making people laugh in the face of all the recent tragedy etc. THen she comes the the point that because of that she HAS to make people laugh... SO I had talked to her lighting guy earlier (I was staked out by the back stage door) - and so...anyway flash forward 45 minutes - it turns out Bea was leaving through the front - so I went around- the lighting guy let me in and said, "Bea - this young woman has been waiting outside for 45 minutes..." And Bea grabs my hand...."OH Honey!" And I tell her, "I'm a reporter and this has been one hell of a depressing month - thanks for making me laugh!" and she thanks me...then we took a lovely picture I am so glad she was nice...I was actually scared going in...I thought she'd be more crotchety.

What a great picture, Deanna! I am glad that you got to met her and she was nice to you. I did not realize that she was 82.
