Default What you think Soundstage 2005 set list should have been

I think i personally have heard some of the songs repeated live too many times. Not that theres anything wrong with them BTW theyre great songs ie NGBA, Big Love, Go Insane and Peacekeeper to name a few. I just got them on too many DVD's and CD's already
My ideal show would have been.

1) Countdown
2) Down On Rodeo
3) Got to Get Away
4) Red Rover
5) Go your own way (its a timeless classic)
6) Dont Look Down (with Intro)
7) Twist Of Fate
8) She Smiled Sweetly
9) Shut us Down
10) Trouble

and if we have time

11) Im so Afraid

Thats a hell of a show.

Hmm...I'd drop Peacekeeper, Never Going Back Again, and Say Goodbye from the setlist. Add Twist Of Fate, Gotta Get Away, She Smiled Sweetly, and Don't Look Down.

Yeah, I'm dropping the songs la Nicks sang with him...nothing against her...I just would've preferred different songs like those I mentioned. She could've sung with him on She Smiled Sweetly or Twist of Fate. Ah, but the SYW tour was going on and that would've required rehearsals of songs they weren't currently performing, blah, blah blah. The addition of GYOW is simply there because its a personal favourite. Big Love and the rest of the songs I dropped are great but it would have been better to see new stuff live.

Or even better what about a Lindsey Buckingham Unplugged VH1 special. That would be the ticket too.

But if you want an electric set, I would add big love, in the original version, just 'cause... you know...

sorry bobo. GYOW and ISA can be played forever. They NEVER bore me.

But my list, nevertheless would be:

Given Thing
Shuffle Riff
Miranda
Turn it on
On The Wrong Side
Twist Of fate
Gift Of Screws
Mary-Lee Jones
Play In The Rain
Loving Cup
Shut Us Down
Johnny Stew

Brr. I'd change underwear after that.

PS: no Tusk-songs from Gerald? No. I sticked to a buckingham-solothingie. For me that includes miranda.

Well, let's see. I would absolutely have to keep the following songs:

Someone's Gotta Change Your Mind
Trouble
Down On Rodeo
Red Rover
Say Goodbye (with Stevie)

And I would absolutely get rid of:

Peacekeeper (which just doesn't play that well live, especially with a small band)
Never Going Back Again (just because there are so many things I would like to hear more)
Murrow (unless he came up with a new solo for it)
Go Your Own Way (while I think the studio version is indeed timeless and brilliant, the present live versions just don't do it for me)

I just might have to keep:

Big Love
Go Insane (as much as I've heard them before, he really shines every time he plays them)

So I guess that means I can add four songs. Hmm.

Shuffle Riff (I think this could be really intense live)
Save Me A Place (can we get a pedal steel in here?)
The Ledge or I Know I'm Not Wrong
Stephanie into Frozen Love (with Stevie)

As much as I love Lindsey's recording of "She Smiled Sweetly" (actually, all of his Stones covers are really great), I originally thought I'd rather hear him do more of his own stuff. But actually, I think throwing in this or "Gotta Get Away" could work really well.
