Talking Stevie Programs IPods

Seems Stevie is becoming more and more technically savvy these days... I dare someone to send an Ask Stevie and see if she knows how to Defrag a Hard Drive.

From the nicksfix:

Stevie and the Injured Troops
USNews.com had the following article:

A Rock Legend's Own USO Tour
The troops went gaga recently when Fleetwood Mac hottie Stevie Nicks showed up for a little morale boosting at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Insiders tell us that she showed up July 8 without notice, lugging dozens of T-shirts and Apple iPods [Actually the ipods were delivered on a second visit on August 23rd and 24th] to hand out to those she visited. "She even programmed them herself," says a USO official. Nicks is just one of the dozens of stars--most notably Cher --who have visited injured troops from Iraq and Afghanistan unannounced and sans paparazzi. Many are planning a return trip this week as part of the USO's huge fundraising gala to herald the work of "service heroes" and Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Gen. Richard Myers.

Yeah, I want to ask her to replace my sound chip with a SoundBlaster card, & maybe upgrade my video card.

I wonder whether she knows how to insert a DVD in a player. My mom can handle that task -- most of the time.

Stevie . . . the Troubleshooting Queen of Network Security!!

I wonder if she did actually choose the playlist, though, and if so, what she chose... considering what she gave Peter Jennings, it's safe to assume the entirety of TISL was in there.

Yeah, I laughed when I read that. I highly doubt she programmed them. I like that they called her a hottie. I bet that made her feel good.

I bet you any amount of money that Stevie is an expert on defraging

a hard drive, and knows ALL the steps!

Step 1) "Karen, will you come here a minute?"

Step 2) "This computer is running a little slow, could you do . . .

WHATEVA you need to do? To make it run BETTER?

THANKS, sweetie!"

Step 3). "I'm going to go get lunch - want anything???"

Haha, I was going to say I would bet my life savings she didn't program it herself. I guess to her choosing the songs means programming it herself.

Well, she's gotta be better than the tech support guy in my office! He can be standing next to me, looking at my computer but he won't do anything without a "work order"... which means I have to call our headquarters in Atlanta, they then call him and tell him to look at my computer. Grrrr!
