Hillary: FEMA Not Ready for End of World

(2005-09-0 -- Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-NY, accused the Bush administration of so crippling the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) that the country is now vulnerable to a variety of world-ending cataclysmic events.

"The federal government is completely unprepared for a planetary collision, a reversal of the earth's rotation and many other disasters that would snuff out civilization," said Sen. Clinton. "Thanks to President Bush, FEMA is hamstrung by bureaucrats at Homeland Security. If they can't immediately, simultaneously care for hundreds of thousands of flood victims in the South, how will they function when the end comes?"

The senator added that some experts believe FEMA staffing could be drastically reduced under a "final bailout" scenario, limiting federal emergency responders to those who are "left behind."

"When my husband was president, we were ready for the end of the world," said Mrs. Clinton. "And if Bill should ever become the First Gent, we'll be ready again."

A Bush administration spokesman agreed that "having a Clinton in the White House does create a certain sense of expectation."

This is a joke, right. If it's not, I'm not too worried about the debates that's for sure.

I can hear it now "When I become president, we will be ready for civilization to be snuffed out, but first we have to fund it."

Actually I wasn't really responding to my own post, as much as I was commenting on Ms. Clinton's quote.

I know I sure was ready for the end of the world when Mr Clinton was president. He was SO EVIL. He was a horrible sinning fornicator for one. Under Clinton we had the longest economic expansion in US History. Wow that horrible man also was the leader when we moved from record deficits, to record surpluses instead. I much prefer nowadays when we're back to the deficits!

I also hated that when Bill was President that we had the most jobs ever created under a single administration. Hell that bastard also was President when we had the highest home ownership rate in US history. We also had the largest 5-yr child poverty drop since the 60's. That evil man also increased the minimum wage, evil I tell ya! Terrible, I felt so UNSAFE, when he put nearly 100,000 more police on the streets. I just KNEW the world was going to end because we had the lowest crime rate in 25 yrs, that made me feel real unsafe. I just knew any minute I would be broke as anything, since we had the lowest welfare rate since the 1960s.

I knew we would go broke with a tax and spend democrat in office, considering we had the lowest amount of Government spending since 1974!

MAN THOSE WERE SCARRRRY TIMES!
