Default Heart Question

I was listening to their Alive In Seattle album today and got to wondering what happened with all of the new songs that they said were going to be on the new album (which, I assume, was Jupiter's Darling that they were referring to). Sister Wild Rose, Heaven, Break the Rock, Two Faces of Eve, etc. Anyone know what happened with them and why they weren't released?

Throughout their 2002 "Summer Of Love" tour, they had been talking about a new album which was going to be released "soon."
I heard a few mentions of it shortly following the tour, then nothing for about six months, and then I started hearing rumblings that Heart had started recording a new album.

So I'm not sure if they abandoned the first album altogether, and started from scratch... or if they decided to go in a different direction somewhere in the middle of recording, and that became 'Jupiter's Darling.'

Of course, it's also possible that they simply decided to not include "Sister Wild Rose," et al., on 'Jupiter's Darling,' since they had already been released on 'Alive In Seattle.'

That would be refreshing. Unlike a certain *coughbleedtolovehercough* group... All New Songs!

When I first opened this thread I expected to see:

"Could someone please explain to me the difference between the superior and inferior vena cavas, and if my heart skips a beat does that mean I have mitral valve prolapse? Please answer soon because 'I Believe My Time Ain't Long!'"

I can't answer the other question but I do love the music of HEART.

The new songs on ALIVE IN SEATTLE are all very good songs, but I think that the material on JUPITERS DARLING are far superior. I'm a huge HEART fan, since the beginning, and I think JD is one of their very best releases. I was lucky enough to catch a show on that tour last summer and they ROCKED!
You gotta give props to the Wilson sisters...they show no signs of slowing down...

I don't have Jupiters Darling. I love Heart, but am not up to date on what they have been doing. I only have a couple of there released albums, all from the 70's. I fell in love with Heart listening to old bootlegs. I should probably join this century and check out there new music!
