Over the decades I've been watching, "The American Experience" has had so many dizzying highs that all in all it's probably my favorite TV show. I just pulled out an old video I made the other day of an American Experience that aired back in 1987, called "James Agee & Walker Evans: Let Us Now Praise Famous Men" about the monumental prose poem & photographs of the same name (of which I have a first edition!).

But I also love or loved:

Wonderful World of Disney
Looney Tunes/Merry Melodies
I Love Lucy
Firing Line
Mystery PBS
Lawrence Welk

I don't really watch much in the way of television, but when I do watch I've been known to sit through entire episodes of:

Current

MTV -

Cribs
Pimp My Ride
Room Raiders

VH1 -

Surreal Life
reruns of America's Next Top Model (no idea why)
Celebrity Fit Club
Hogan Knows Best
Behind the Music (though new episodes are few and far between)

Animal Planet -

Emergency Vets
Animal Cops
The Most Extreme (I hate this show... it annoys the crap out of me, but I watch it anyway

)

All time favorites shows

Black Adder
Night Court
Roseanne
Ren and Stimpy
Mr. Bean
Married With Children
Murphy Brown
Daria
Nash Bridges
Queer As Folk

And I say we start a petition to tell VH1 to bring back Pop Up Video and Rock and Roll Jeopardy. I miss those shows.

I liked both of those, particularly Pop Up Video. I'd even volunteer to be a writer/researcher.
