Post Song for the Lonely

Weight Watchers has a new commercial...it starts out with Cher singing "Song For The Lonely"...and leads you line by line, frame by frame, in anticipation until the end and you find out what it's for. This is the best commercial I've seen in awhile! Cher sings the whole commercial! Well, now I'm motivated! I'm joining...seriously! You've got to see it!

Well, you know... all fat people are by default lonely, so that sounds like an awesome idea.

Good luck! It's an awesome program if you put your all into it. By far the only realistic program out there, and it just so happens to work better than all the rest.

I agree, that song is motivation enough, the commercial is great.

I saw this the other day... I was sitting in my room and it came on and I was like "Why the heck is Cher playing?!" Then I realized it was from the TV! I love Cher, so it was a nice surprise!

So, I guess I'm the only person who hates it when this kind of stuff happens? I haven't seen the commercial, but the mere idea is pretty sickening to me. Kind of like the car commercial with "Dust in the Wind" and every other thing like that. Oh yeah, and Sting whoring for Jaguar. And Celine whoring for Chrysler. I really despise that kind of stuff. Anyway...

You mean you haven't seen the Stevie commercial for Bombay Saffire Gin yet?

Me too. I really respected Tom Petty when he stopped his song being used in an advert that time.

Funny you mention the dust in the wind commercial...I also rewind the TIVO to rewatch that commerical because I love the song so much lol...

Anyway, yes Weight Watchers DOES work...I have done, although I need to start up again...It just requires a lot of organization and planning, was part of my problem...The food was fine, the diet was fine, just remembering to right down basically everything I ate and count the points and not go over and all is what threw me off...but yes I need to get back on it--it actually works, and IMO is one of the few diets in which it is not that hard to KEEP it off if you actually stick to it..

He is THE coolest. He's got more integrity than any other recording artist, IMO.

I did lose the most weight and inches when I tried weight watchers a couple of years ago. I just love Cher! She came to the big town of Beaumont, Texas last year and showed them how to do it right! One of the most awesome concerts I've ever seen. And she plays all these old 70's songs, disco, etc before the concert. Everybody's dancing and they have cameras filming the audience. The time before the concert was almost as fun as the concert itself. And Cher watched it all from backstage while getting ready...and had a few clips she showed and added of sharp whitted comments. At our concert, there was a very large lady with very, very large tatas that could slap the rafters if she'd wanted them too. She was like "Rock on big mama with your bad self! I'm glad you having a great time".
Before you make judgement on the commercial, just watch it...it definitely makes a point!

I lost 17lbs in 3 1/2 weeks and 2 sizes. It was easy, I just lost motivation and stopped going to meetings because I was doing the program alone. The hospital where I work holds meetings there...maybe that would be a good place to start...or maybe not. Maybe new friends with new incentives will be best!
