Default Has Anyone Seen Tom Petty this tour?

I just bought some Tom Petty tickets for this Saturday and was wondering if anyone here has seen him this tour. I've always wanted to see him, but never got around to it until now. The tickets were a great price - $60 each.
Anyone gone to any of his shows this year?

Yup. Saw him in June. He rocks. I had a 1000 page review posted here (as usual) , it may be gone though.

I didn't get to see him, and I'm not happy about it. Tom Petty is always great in concert though. Had I not been on vacation I would have seen him for sure. He is one of my favorite people to go see live.

He puts on a great show! I haven't seen him on this tour because he's not coming anywhere near Texas, for some reason.

However, the Black Crowes are playing at the Austin City Limits Festival in late September.

Thumbs up

I saw Tom Petty this tour in Cleveland! Awesome, awesome show. The setlist was, like, perfection. I think everyone there knew nearly every single song- there were even people singing along to the new ones. And I really wanted him to stay there and just sing his entire catalog. That would have made it even better...though we'd have been there for days.

i'm a little bitter about tom petty this year... i have seen him every time he's been in a city near me in the last 6 years... and this year he was scheduled to play here TONIGHT- but it was taken off of his tour schedule with no explainations... the radio DJs had even started getting pumped about it. i'm soooo bummed- i LOVE him!

I saw Tom Petty back in June in West Palm Beach. The concert was awesome. I'm not the biggest Petty fan ever, but the concert was one of the best I have ever been to. The music was great....I think there were maybe 3 or 4 songs I didn't know. Plus it helped that we got to go up to the stage after the 2nd or 3rd song. I was looking forward to seeing the Black Crowes, but I have to say that I was a little disappointed with their set. They didn't play one of their hits, and the songs were a good 7-10 mins long. Although, I did get a kick out of the fact that they light Nag Champa before their set starts. The smell filled the covered area of the venue. Thought that was an interesting touch. I hope you have a wonderful time on Saturday!!
