Did anyone see this? I just saw it today and I must say that I liked it. It started off well when we got to the theater and it was one of the big sized theaters. I hate when they give you the small crappy ones. Well anyway that was a plus. But the guy in the projection booth must hate himself or his job. Because the little commercials that go on a slideshow before the movie were crooked. Then there were no previews and were some digital errors during the movie. So most likely this guy hates his job.
The movie was very good I thought. Kind of resembled the amityville horror. i didn't think that id like the voodoo part of it, but that actually added more fun to the movie. I love how there are so many rooms in this house. The flashback part of the movie where they showed what happened 90 years prior was awesome. Anyway I reccomend seeing this movie. OH YEAAAAAAAAA When I went to pay for my ticket I got a free pass to go see 'Red Eye', which I did want to see (can you tell im a horror fan), so Im going to see that wednesday night. |

I saw a screening of it last week and thought it was superb.
Much different than the previews make it out to be, it was a nice slow-burner and I completely admired the fact that the filmmakers clued the audience in along with Kate Hudson's character; we never knew anything before she did and it worked magnificently. Reminded me very much of the storytelling found in movies like Rosemary's Baby. By the time the last 30 mintues kicked in, I was just as horrified as Hudson. Please don't even get me started on how bonechilling Papa Justify's record was, it gave me goosebumps. Kate Hudson is so beautiful and such a natural actress that everything she does onscreen come across as authentic and the genuine actions of the character she's playing. There were even scenes in it where could see the girl think. Gena Rowlands? Terrifying. I also loved how it showed once again what a great actor John Hurt is; he had no dialogue and had to essentially use nothing but his face to convey everything. The ending was a real kick in the arse, too. I didn't see it coming and I usually have most of those "twist endings" figured out ahead of time. It was fun to think back and piece it together using the half-hearted clues that you were given, and it is even better to think back on what you have just seen from a completely different perspective than you had when actually watching it. Very fun and well-done movie. ![]()

I haven't seen The Skeleton Key but this reminds me of an interview with Kate Hudson that was in the Guardian last week where she came across as a right grumpy bitch!
Josh will love it! http://www.guardian.co.uk/g2/story/0...537379,00.html

I especially loved this:In order to shape up (or indeed down) for Skeleton Key, Hudson lost 60lb in the three months after giving birth to her first child. So it seems reasonable to ask whether she feels there is too much pressure on women in Hollywood to adhere to near unattainable ideals of beauty and fitness. A straight answer is not forthcoming. "What do you think?" she asks, cocking her head to one side slightly as she takes a long drag of her cigarette. I say that I imagine there is, but I want to know what she thinks. A sharp retort: "The pressure would come from people like you, wouldn't it?" More smiling. After a little sparring she admits that the "only" time she has felt any pressure in her whole career was when she had to lose the weight so quickly for Skeleton Key. Had to? Said who? "That," she says, "is unimportant to the moral of the story." Was it the producers, the director? "Unimportant to the moral of the story." The funny thing, however, is that I thought she looked fab in the movie. She didn't look like a skeleton (pardon the pun) like so many other actresses do, she looked like a normal twentysomething woman. PS: I still love her, girl has spunk!

Oh I like her too. She's beautiful and she's a great little actress, despite being in some appalling movies but I loved that interview. It's sooo cringeworthy it's great. She may have been having a bad day but I have heard she is much nicer to male journalists.
How awful that she didn't even say goodbye to that journalist though, I mean, ouch! The best cringeworthy interview I've ever read though is one with Lou Reed. He was being shocking! I'll see if I can find it...

True, but like I said, I heard she was lovely to the male journalists on that press junket. J-Lo is the same I hear: bitchy to the female journalists, charming to the men.

I would have probably behaved in the same way with Anthony Hopkins, and it wouldn't have been pretty. In press conferences he usually answers to 3/4 of the questions with: ''I don't know what you're talking about, I'm only an actor''. Romy

What does he think about America at the moment? "These are really terribly rough times, and we really should try to be as nice to each other as possible." He is VILE in that interview! Just downright nasty and cruel to the guy. I can't imagine being in the interviewer's shoes and having to put up with that.
