lindsey's best lyric.

[justcrazylove]

just a thought... what is your opinion on his best ever line, or phrase in a song.
for me its
memories like shadows scorched in the sand
I'm alone, a lonely man.
easily the most, thought provoking line and emotive line he has ever written. whats it for you.

[ThePenguin]

Just a time within a time...
Just a scheme within a scheme...
A little world within a world...
It's a dream, just a dream.

From the first time i heard them, those words affected me. Seems such a sweet, melancholy way for him to remember the whole 'life in a Fleetwood Mac bubble' experience.

I don't think I could pick a best but I really, really love "Melodies awaken sorrows from their sleep."

[ontheEdgeof17]

All alone, we suffer....Oh, to steal your heart away.

[sodascouts]

"Time recedes with a fatal drop / Dusty fury on the mountaintop" - so evocative!

[GypsySorcerer]

Whisper murder in your ear/you just keep it so well hid

or

I keep the dream in my pocket/never let it fade away

And all of "Peacekeeper."

[strandinthewind]

All of Peacekeeper and Say Goodbye!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I also think Miranda is awefully clever!!!!!

I really LOVE ISA as well.

Finally, I also love TITN, the song - though that period for LB was not my fav.

I actually love Tango Lindsey. I like all of his songs on that album, even "Family Man."

[wondergirl9847]

"when the darkness comes, you've got to fly into the light...."

"I never change, I never will, I'm so afraid, the way I feel..."

"You don't belong here, I guess you never did..."

Arg...if I had to go with one....it would be....

"when the darkness comes, you've got to fly into the light..." - I adore that song and use those lyrics in my signature at other boards quite a bit.

I like Family Man as well and might I add who has not done some WILD dance move to the "I AM WHAT I AM AM WHAT I AM AM WHAT I AM" part

Oh I like his songs and stuff, just not as much as the other periods. Even my least fav. LB period is better than any non FM member's prime

[AliP]

It's so hard to find your way
When the liars come around
Still it happens everyday
So don't let it get you down

These are my faves as well. Plus Murrow.

"All the sainted sinners
They pay handsomely
M S C A E they make the weapons
And they run the prisons
And they sell the justice
'Cause being guilty is just good business"

[face of glass]

All of "Family Man".
