Like or Dislike: No Spoken Word

[skcin]

Incredible, rocking song. Love it. Very strong vocal & music (which I now have stuck in my head.) I especially love the way she delivers the lines:

Ooh...come around tonight indecent
Well...
Ah, ha...come around
Tonight, indecent...baby well,
You fill the room
With the rain and the wind and the water

If you tell me,
One more time
Oh baby, take it easy
Well, you won't see me ever again

Some people walk down that darkened street
With the faith of a child
And so go the faithless
But after awhile, she says...

I ALWAYS belt it out along with her on this one - LOUD. It just rocks so hard.

This song is so good live too - I'm not sure which I prefer, though. I am a bit surpirsed that this didn't make Enchanted, since it was done on a couple of tours - she seemed to like it.

I don't often listen to the album version of this song, but I LOVE it live. Especially from Red Rocks. I wish she would still do it.

I love this song both on record and live. I first really paid attention to this song when I watched the Red Rocks video and heard what a kick ass live song it is. I wish she would do it again too.

Best song on RAL by far. Its the only song that lives up to the albums name without sucking. Its even better live. Some of Stevie's absolute best lyrics ever are on thsi song. I Love:

I Either Say Too Much Or... I ... Dont Say Enough
Well I play too hard Still Im not Tough Enough

I seriously suck at lyrics then, cause I always thought it was So Cold and faithless

LOVE IT!!!

ah ha....come around
tonite, indecent....baby well

wonder what that's all about

[TheBlueLamp]

I love it live and on the album. It was probably the first song that really grabbed me on RAL (apart from the singles). I'd love to see Stevie pull this one out again in her shows.

This is one of my favourites lyrically speaking. I love the passion and anger in it.

You have no idea how many I've screwed up over the years. Even now, once in a while I read through them on Nicksfix & I'm like "huh?!?!"

My second favorite track on RAL!

I love it live and on record. I especially love the "wind & the rain & the WAAATAAAAH" line.

This song is also full of "baby's" and "well's". Can't beat that.

I do too. Welcome to the board, Sean (if I haven't told you that already.)

Thanks for the welcome. I have been around for awhile but I usually lurk.

Let's change that. I don't like the word lurk. I feel like I am a peeping tom or a stalker or something. How about I usually enjoy reading everyone's witty and insightful posts.

Very good song, but not in my Top 20.
