Jimi Hendrix: Gay Ruse Gets Out of Military

[desertangel]

Yes, another book about Hendrix is about to be released. This author claims to have gone through some old military records, letters, etc. His "thing" that he's gonna use to sell his book is that he couldn't find documentation for Hendrix's release from the Army due to an injury sustained while being a paratrooper. Instead he found some stuff about Jimi going to the Army shrink because he was in love with one of his Army buddies so they sent him home. The story goes that it was a ruse so Jimi could get out and go play rock music. Whatever the reason, I'm glad he got to make music.

Now I'm wondering if the rumour about Jimi making a pass at Noel Redding was true. Apparently Noel was really p.o'd about it. I don't remember if that was in Noel's book or someone else's... too many books on Jimi.... hmmm. Who cares.
