Default Stevie, a country music cd?

I have a big question, What would if Stevie produces a country music cd and
dedicated it to her Dad and her grandfather A.J Nicks, since their are big country music fans themselves. Probably not much country fans on here, as much as I am.you would say boo and laugh lol at it,huh would you buy it. As far as the belladonna album she could got away with some catchy country tunes besides Stop Draggin my Heart Around, Like "After The Glitter Fades ","Leather and Lace" got some airplay on country radio here. The Highwayman,"Think About It" and some other tunes could of made it.The Dixie Chicks hit Landslide cover was a big hit and got her awards Watch out Shania and Faith .Whats you opinion. any track ideas. I would die If this happens.

I'd buy it. Mix Down and Rose Garden are two country tunes that come immediately to mind. Of course RG is already released so I doubt she'd re release it even though I think she really likes the song or she would never have done it on the Enchanted Tour.

If it was Stevie--I'd buy it!! I love After the Glitter Fades, Highwayman, That's Alright, etc. Kind of strange since I'm not a fan of country music at all!! And these kind of border on country if you ask me........ I actually heard Landslide by the Dixie Chicks on the radio today and really listened to it for once.....didn't care for it at all

I've wanted Stevie to do a country album for a long time now.

i'm actually surprised that she hasn't done one by now. or, at least one that leans more toward the country side. yeah, i think it could work. country music now is so much "cooler" and less twangy than 30 years ago. some debate that it's more "pop" than country. anyway, with that said, i don't think it would be a stretch for her.

Hopefully she wouldn't sing about a barbaque stain on her white t-shirt, or a boot up your ass.

Such an album would excite the hell out of me. But it would absolutely HAVE to be stripped down...no country-pop B.S. or she shouldn't bother. As I've said in the past, I say bring on the Jack White treatment ala Loretta Lynn!!!

Rather than doing another Greatest Hits she might compile past country-ish songs onto one CD:

That's Alright
Crying In The Night
Think About It
Kind Of Woman
Leather And Lace
After The Glitter Fades
Gate And Garden
Too Far From Texas
Enchanted
Are You Mine
I Still Miss Someone (NEW arrangement)
Rose Garden
The Highwayman

I don't think of Mix Down as country at all, but Somebody Stand By Me sounded to me like something Dolly might do when I first heard it. Also maybe Tied Up In Promises.

Except that it's drenched in fiddle. And the guitar part. And the tempo. But other than that, nah.
Maybe we're not talking about the same song. I'm talking about AKA Love And War.

Good picks -- only can we get rid of the Dixie Chick on TFFT? I don't know if i'd call Mix Down country -- it certainly doesn't have as much of a country sound as some of her other songs do
