Default It's Called "Rock and Roll"

That Led Zepplin cover Stevie's been doing is called "Rock and Roll" - not "It's Been a Long Time" - GAWD... that's driving me NUTS!! - or maybe I was nuts to being with.

I thought the song was called "It's been a long time since I rock and rolled"

HA HA... no kidding!! Well, it's nice to know I'm not the only one who gets a "tic" when I read that.

This has made me realize what a lack I have in my CD collection. I need I, II, Physical Grafitti, In Thru the Out Door and Houses of the HOly. Haven't listened to many of those since high school! They're staples in the rock music diet, for sure.

Thank you!!! That was driving me nuts, too. I corrected someone in a review a few days ago, but to no avail. For the next one who says anything but Rock and Roll, you will be forced to look up, read and decipher all LZ lyrics and titles of songs (which often have nothing to do with the song itself - consider Rock and Roll to be an easy one), and post your findings on the board. Consider yourselves warned..

they should have to listen to the 46 minute version (!!!) of Dazed And Confused from the March 27,1975 show from the Forum in Inglewood, CA while reciting "It is Rock N Roll" over and over for the whole 46 minutes!!!

Hey, I posted this in the "Okay people..." thread.

It's just simply called
Rock And Roll

And, as I said there, I'm shocked that people don't know this. I always thought that Zep 4 was an album EVERYBODY, ESPECIALLY Stevie fans, had, if for no other reason than "Stairway To Heaven."

Does anyone else not have a clue what these folks are talking about? I haven't read a single thing about Stevie covering "Rock and Roll" but I have heard plenty about her covering "Been a long time." Maybe she'll do "Rock and Roll" on her next tour?

That's it. Your punishment is the following:

"they should have to listen to the 46 minute version (!!!) of Dazed And Confused from the March 27,1975 show from the Forum in Inglewood, CA while reciting "It is Rock N Roll" over and over for the whole 46 minutes."

Estranged4Life will forward you the boot.

Oooo harsh (but funny)

I've owned Led Zep IV for nearly 20 years and I don't care what people are calling the song, I just want to hear an MP3 of Stevie singing the goddamn thing!!
