Default Chocolate, mmmmm....

I've been having near-migraine the last couple of days so I know I should leave chocolate (and some other stuff, like cheese ) alone for a while. (hm.. maybe I shouldn't be at the pc that much either )
But of course, chocolate now is the one thing on my mind CONstantly.

anyway, here's a Chocolate poll:

1. What's your favorite kind ('strength') : dark, white, milk?
extra extra dark. 72%
2. With nuts etcetera or without?
hazelnuts!
3. Do you have a good brownies recipe? I made some last weekend but they were much too sweet.
obviously I don't
4. Hot cocoa/chocolate milk (sorry, don't know what you call it), like it or not?
mmmm with cream on top..
5. Strangest dish with chocolate or cacao in it you ever had?
some kind of mexican savoury sauce with cacao in it.. tasted good!
6. Did you ever not like chocolate?
some brands are just too sweet, especially a lot of bonbons. I can say no to those without problems
7. Your favorite chocolate cookies?
they're called "donkerbruintjes" in dutch.. a simple cookie with a chocolate and sugar coat on one side. You can scrape the chocolate off with your teeth first, and then eat the cookie...
8. Candy bars?
mars bars
9. Where do they make the best chocolate?
Switzerland, I guess. Those 72% choc bars are Swiss.
10. Your favorite bonbon?
cherry bonbons are allright. But I'm not crazy about bonbons in general.
11. Your favorite way of eating chocolate?
Brownies!!!
12. Any other dish that's as good as chocolate? How can I stay away from the stuff?!?
I'd say cheese, but I shouldn't eat that stuff either, meeeeh.
13. And finally.. is it better than sex?
A friend of mine made some brownies two weeks ago, they were sooooo goooooooood... I had a cho-rgasm. Yes. It is.

Pimples are erupting spontaneously on my face, just from typing these questions

Mari, these polls are so long! But I LOVE them anyway!

1. What's your favorite kind ('strength') : dark, white, milk?
extra extra dark.
Dark, preferably Dove brand

2. With nuts etcetera or without?I can't trun down nuts.

3. Do you have a good brownies recipe? Yes. Betty Crocker.

4. Hot cocoa/chocolate milk (sorry, don't know what you call it), like it or not?We have both - I love both. Our chocolate milk is cold milk with chocolate syrup in it.

5. Strangest dish with chocolate or cacao in it you ever had?
The chocolate martini Suze gave me a sip of in Vegas. I know it's not really that strange, but I don't drink martinis so it was to me. And it was good.

6. Did you ever not like chocolate?
Nope.

7. Your favorite chocolate cookies? Good old homemade chocolate chip cookies - chewy, not crispy

8. Candy bars?
Wachamakalit (sp? how the hell do you spell that?) Baby Ruth, Reese's Penut Butter Cup

9. Where do they make the best chocolate?

10. Your favorite bonbon?
I don't really do bonbons.

11. Your favorite way of eating chocolate?
I pour the syrup right into my mouth. JK - probably a candy bar

12. Any other dish that's as good as chocolate? How can I stay away from the stuff?!? Nothing really compares to chocolate.

13. And finally.. is it better than sex? No.

you mean those cartons? funny thing about those, an american friend sent me one once, but I found the same package here too.. but with one major difference in the recipe: on the american package it said 'add so and so much vegetable oil' while the dutch recipe said only to add water! huh?

I used to do that when I was a kid

edit: ok, don't lie. I still do that when that's all the chocolate I have in the house and I just NEED to have some

Milk, I guess. Purists mainly like the dark stuff better though.
Quote:
2. With nuts etcetera or without?
Rather without.
Quote:
3. Do you have a good brownies recipe? I made some last weekend but they were much too sweet.
Never made those, but you do know I love a good chocolate cake every now and then.

4. Hot cocoa/chocolate milk (sorry, don't know what you call it), like it or not?
Yeah, it's been a habit to have a cup of that at the end of the day for me.
Quote:
5. Strangest dish with chocolate or cacao in it you ever had?
Once I tried some chocolate with chili in it, it was nice.
Quote:
6. Did you ever not like chocolate?
Always loved it, can't think of brands that I dislike now. Goldened memories, I guess.
Quote:
7. Your favorite chocolate cookies?
Rainbow cookies, because they're a) cheap and b) 37% pure chocolate.
Quote:
8. Candy bars?
Fazer bars, those with raspberry in them, mmmm.
Quote:
9. Where do they make the best chocolate?
Even though I love Toblerone (Swiss) and Ritter Sport (German?), I'm going to say Finland. Try Brunberg's dark chocolate, or those various Fazer chocolates if you ever have the chance. But my current favourite is a Swedish one (gasp), Marabou mint milk chocolate.
Quote:
10. Your favorite bonbon?
Not a bonbon lover myself.
Quote:
11. Your favorite way of eating chocolate?
Chocolate discs (about 200 grams in weight). Although I tend to end up eating the stuff like I would eat bread.
Quote:
12. Any other dish that's as good as chocolate? How can I stay away from the stuff?!?
Nothing beats chocolate when it comes to eating something, period.

13. And finally.. is it better than sex?
Yes, but then sex is generally overrated anyway.

Best poll ever!

Oh dear, try to hold on.

Ever tried white Toblerone instead of the traditional one, btw?

Hmm, maybe I should stop tempting you...

I am strange and unAmerican. I really don't care for chocolate, save for white chocolate. I swear, it gives me a headache!
I maybe eat 4 candybars a year, usually Reeses(mmmmm, drool, peanut butter......).
