I am not going to do the whole play by play thing again for last night but it was another fantastic show. Stevie was animated, fun, outgoing and energetic but I thought she looked much more tired up close. Vocals were awesome and BTB was incredible, along par with Vegas, with Stevie crying during the song. Circle Dance...Stevie skipped a verse and looked at Don with an "ooooppppsss". He laughed it off.
I need to comment on GDW...it was really fabulous. Stevie was in a zone, actually she appeared to be on her own planet....totally getting into the song with her eyes closed and much sensual slow dancing with exquisite arm motions. . The ending with the "babybabybababababyybabybabybababababaaaaa..you should see me now" was hot and not defiant like Philly. It was softer and more wistful and she was definately in her own world. The slow dance was long with Don twirling her about five times at the end. After the dance, Stevie walked up to the mic and said "that was fun!!" with a giggle. Security made everyone with cameras take them back to the car...as my two friends were taking their cameras back I asked why we had been allowed to take digitals at other shows. I was told Don Henley is bothered by the cameras. They were super strict on anyone who snuck their camera ion and I saw very few people even attempting to take photos. People were allowed up during Edge but immediately when it was over Marcus ushered everyone back to their row. Don was good but I thought he seemed to be having throat trouble...although my two friends thought he seemed fine. I thought he seemed like his throat was hurting periodically and his vocals sounded a bit strained at the beginning of the show. Don got much love, which I was happy about, he deserves it. I am amazed at how much of his original range he still has. I am in love with his keyboard player, back off Riss....although I still don't know his name.
