Default My personal Stevie cd

Man, this is so much fun, talking to everyone here and sharing our opioions!! Anyway, in addition to a Fleetwood Mac cd I recently put together, I made up a Stevie cd of my favorites. I was able to fit 17 songs in 79:45 on an 80 minute cd, and believe me it wasn't easy. I know some proplr probably won't be thrilled with some of my choices, but here goes

1.Bella Donna
2.Kind of Woman
3.Edge Of 17, Live from Enchanted
4.How Still My Love
5.Leather And Lace
6.Outside The Rain
7.Forest Of The Black Roses
8.Blue Lamp
9.Gold And Braid, from Enchanted
10.Enchanted
11.Standback
12.Beauty And The Beast
13.Talk To Me
14. Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You
15.Battle Of The Dragon
16.Desert Angel
17.Sorceror, from TISL

I tried to do this a couple of years ago - make a mix cd with my favorite Stevie songs and it turned out to be 7 cd's with 15 songs each and took me 2 full days of burining. I now have 7 cd's labled SN MIX 1, SN MIX 2, ect. and I take them with me everywhere. I did them kind of in alphabetical order so it would be random and from all different eras. (Then I have a piece of paper identifying the song numbers which can be a pain if I want to find something and I'm in my car). Now I'm starting another process of putting all my mix cd's into my Ipod and that is just as time consuming. I've also made mix cd's of demos so it never stops! In the next couple of weeks I hope to have all of my Stevie songs organized and transferred to my Ipod so I'll never need another cd again! It will be the Stevie Pod!

I made a mix cd a couple years ago that I called Stevie Nicks: Kickin' It. It's all of her most... well... kickin' songs. Not all of them, but my favorites:

1. Edge of Seventeen
2. Blue Denim
3. Planets of the Universe
4. Stand Back
5. Seven Wonders
6. Paper Doll
7. Talk to Me
8. Imperial Hotel
9. Running Through the Garden
10. Fall From Grace
11. Illume
12. Trouble in Shangri-La
13. Gold Dust Woman
14. Bombay Sapphires
15. Smile at You
16. If Anyone Falls
17. Everybody Finds Out

I listen to it all the damn time!!!

I have an iPod so, luckily, I don't ever have to choose which songs to put on a cd...I always have ALL my Stevie music/interviews with me. My next step is to create a Stevie iPod tattoo.

I know - I have all of their stuff downloaded -- so every other shuffle becomes a FM or solo song

Also, a friend made me a skin from the Stevie pic where she is in the SB cape underneath the moon and playing the tambo. with her head tossed back. It was way cool, but the wheel did not work very well with it

I should really do this, but I am soooo not computer savvy! Do you know how many years it took me just to figure out how to put a picture in my signature? Hopefully soon I will figure out how to burn a CD though....

I've made so many damn Stevie compilations over the years that I've run out of themes. The last one was 'Selections For A Rainy Day', but I've already thrown it out because after a week or so I don't recall what possibly possessed me to put those particular songs together.....and it was probably the 89th Rainy Day compilation I'd made. I probably burn 6-8 compilations per week (not all, but usually Stevie), mostly to take to work, or on walks, or to listen to while driving. If I don't throw them away, I give them to friends who lose them. (If they didn't lose them, I wouldn't be able to keep giving them away!)
