Default Getting up front at Tom Petty shows?

Hi all~

Has anyone been successful in the past getting up front at Tom Petty shows? I know the venue always factors in as well, but how are Tom's people and is it something that seems to be welcomed at his shows (like at FM shows)? I haven't seen him in 6 years and I don't remember the situation at that show. Luckily this will be an outdoor show...in my experience, the staff at outdoor venues seem to be a lot more relaxed than in arenas.

Thanks!

It's been a few years since I last went to see Tom, but I do seem to recall that his security is pretty tight and discourages people from leaving their assigned places. Of course, that's not going to stop me from trying when I see him in August.
