Default The Cure..for anyone who likes the band

I was on yahoo news earlier, and I found out that Roger O Donnell and Perry Bamonte have left the cure.

So, now it is a trio and who knows what will happen, I really thoguht this lineup would last

Don't get me wrong, cuz I do love The Cure. I don't know absolutely everything about Robert Smith, so I may be showing a little ignorance here... but don't you think he might get a little "heavy" after awhile? He's totally brilliant... but wow. I can see how he might burn certain kinds of people out. I don't think there will be an end to The Cure. They might not put anything out for awhile until they get new musicians. Hopefully his wife will be able to help him keep pointed in that direction. I think she has before cuz he almost drove her nuts a few times between gigs.

Just curious, cuz like I said... I don't know everything, but was that the same line up that did the trilogy concerts in Berlin? I bought the DVD and think it is spectacular... absolutely STELLAR performances... goosebump material. Okay, I'll quit.

Okay, I agree Robert does tend to burn out members...its sad. I dotn know the exact reasons, but Roger has left before and hes makign a solo album, so he may have elft to focus on that. Now, Perry I am not sure, he seemed quite comfterable with things. Maybe he was like Porl who wanted to open his horizons.

either way i wish them both the best of luck

That's too bad... they did seem like really nice chaps. They seemed very dedicated and warm in the interview portion of the Trilogy DVD. Gosh, now I'm gonna hafta go watch it again. I think Robert may be bi-polar. I don't know if he's on meds, I didn't get the impression that he was, probably wouldn't want to be because it could ruin The Cure. His wife works with special needs kids and the feeling was that they were a good fit for each other because of it. They've known each other since childhood.

Did you catch any shows on the Curiosity tour? I wanted to but had so much going on that summer having just moved, etc. and would have had to fly down to Cali. Wonder how that went, everyone was so excited about it... I lost track.

Let them know what you think... I have no doubt Robert reads at least some of the messages. I LOVE the new look of the site... it's very Robert. It's about time they had an update to it.
