Default Australian Stevie Fan!

Hi Everyone,

I am an Australian Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac fan, i
would do anything for the chance at seeing Stevie
on her own live as i have never done before. I saw
Fleetwood Mac last year and really want to see them
again, chances are unlikely in Australia though.

It really angers me to read many of these posts about
the vegas shows, that they were dissapointing. How
could they be?? Its Stevie Nicks, you guys should be
glad she is still performing. As for the costume
changes, she is in her 50's she is doing alright for
someone of her age and what she has been through.
This also goes for her vocal range and choice of set list,
as a singer I know how hard it is to perform for so long,
and I am 20.

As an Australian fan i pretty much rely on you guys
for info, it seems like Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks
don't exist down here, and dvd/cd releases are usually 6
months late.

I know our hopes were raised with all the news posted
but please enjoy it for those like me who can't.

Sorry, I am going on too much but i think you guys
should be so happy you are seeing her. She is
wonderful no matter what.

Emmaline

PS: I am not trying to offend anyone, but this is
just my personal opinion after reading all the posts.

I completely agree with you in that Stevie is not 20 anymore and we are lucky she's doing shows anyway and I am just happy to see her even if she were singing happy birthday. That said, I think the consensus is (and I'm not trying to speak for anyone/everyone) that we were all expecting Stevie to live up to the build up so to speak. She said she would be bringing out the hats and the old outfits and video footage and that made most everyone feel like this would be a once in a lifetime concert that would never happen again and it would be worth skipping a few mortgage payments (j/k) to see it and have that memory. Then, to find out a) she doesn't really change outfits b) not many changes in setlist c) no unearthed video footage d) crappy merchandise, it is just disheartening. I know I have spent a ton of money and honestly am excited about going, but had I known this was the way it would turn out, I wouldn't have gone. I would have caught a Stevie/Don show closer to home that wouldn't put me in such debt, but hey, it will still be fabulous and Stevie is still my girl.

Default have a great time!

Thanks for replying, i know what you mean about stevie's shows, she builds it up and we all have the videos/photos from past solo tours and then we have an expectation, i am just hoping people enjoy the concerts which i am sure they will.
Have a great time everybody, wish i was there!

emmaline,

I hope you know that even if we're disappointed here listening to the setlist, I feel quite positive that all or most of the fans and Ledgies who went to the Vegas shows are having a fantastic time and it will be something they'll always remember. The venue is spectacular, they're sharing it with friends and other fans they've met here on the board (which always makes the experience better) and after all, it IS Stevie in Vegas!

It's also possible and very probable that we're a lot more disappointed here than the fans who are seeing the shows. They're taking in the whole experience and hopefully a few missed opportunities in terms of her selection of songs couldn't dampen their show or experience. They're our friends and Ledgemates and we want them to have the best time

,?Gˆ,N?? there is so much disappointment circulating today is because everybody's expectations were way overblown, however, not unreasonable based on what she said she would do with the show and setlist. But I'm like you, where as just being in the arena or theatre while Stevie Nicks is performing is thrilling. I have to see her everytime she tours, to miss a date with Stevie (in my area) would make me feel blasphemous. But in retrospect, I am no longer feeling like I'm missing out not having gone to Vegas because of the routiness of this show. All I feel I'm missing is the chance to meet people I've come to know on the internet.

p.s. Love your name.
