Default Juliette Lewis sings?!?!

I've just come home from the annual 1st of May concert (it's a big event here, with over 500.000 people attending) and this year as non-Italians artists we got James Blunt (who's quite good, I have to say) and Juliette Lewis as part of Juliette and the Licks. She basically screamed for 20 minutes 3 undistinguished songs (and still her voice was so flebile), jumped all over the stage, come on my part (I was in the front row) waved and shouted hello to us and we waved back (one of those unforgettable moments in life, I know ). Anyway, is she having any success with this? Just curious.

Dissention could probably answer this better than I could but he turned me on to her and I do love her music. I believe she does have a bit of a cult underground following but I could be wrong. Glad you enjoyed her!!

I need a second listen without having my head so close to loudspeakers, but I liked the third one "You're speaking my language" and she had very good vibes from the audience on that one.

I've only been praising Juliette and the Licks for eons, Romy.

She has a killer voice and they are one helluva tight band. Love them! I saw them last summer and I have tix to see them at the end of May (first row for $10 ); I can't wait to hear new songs. Their EP came out last year and their new album "You're Speaking My Language" comes out on May 17th. I don't know how the EP sold, but they're starting to really promote the new album and the critics adore them. She was born to be a rock star and she writes fabulous songs. Got Love To Kill and Shelter Your Needs are my favorites, and Money In My Pocket is great, too. Definitely has the **** to back it up, unlike a lot of actors that jump on the music bandwagon (*cough*MinnieDriver*cough*).

If you go to their site (http://www.julietteandthelicks.com), they have a couple full length songs to listen to and links to other new full length songs.

Just listened, not bad.

She is very interesting. Feel like I grew up with her somehow.

But good for her, at least the music doesn't suck.

Thanks for the info, I'll go to listen to the songs.
