Question Will we ever see Soundstage?

I was just thinking that it's been quite some time since the taping of Lindsey's Soundstage. Am I wrong in thinking we had been told by people from PBS that a new season was set to air in April and that the show would air then? On their website, I can't find any indication of when the new season will be airing. Has anyone heard anything recently? I'm hoping his performance is not shelved

Funny that you should ask this. I was checking my PBS site last night and it says that Lindsey's Soundstage was going to air September 2004. We all know that never happened! I don't see any info for the next season either. Hoepfully we will get some more schedule info in the next few weeks. I don't know if Lindsey's show will be on there, however.

Also, I see that LB's website has been moved from .com to .net. Is that old news? Still no updates, either.

I found the main website and it's saying that taping for Season 3 resumed in March. The next group set to film are The Wallflowers on May 3rd. I'm thinking it's shelved and it looks as though the new season won't air until September if they're taping them all now.

I think the transition from .com to .net was a while ago but I don't even bother to check that site anymore. No offense to the girl who runs if but for being the official site, she certainly hasn't knocked her socks off with updates, photographs, etc. I contacted her a while back to see if she wanted the video I shot and some pictures for her site. She never contacted me back Oh well.

I could not find that main link for Soundstage last night. Do you happen to have it?

I have been checking the site at that .com address every now and then and today it says that the .com name expired on 4/18/2005 so I guess that it was recent. I checked . net and his site is located there.
I also tried to send some of my photos in to the web hostess. The first time there was a mix up because we both did not have the time but I did email her a few times after that. Nothing and no updates.
I guess that official does not always mean better.

http://www.wttw.com/soundstage/index.html

It seems as though this is the officially PBS Soundstage site from Chicago. They have no information posted anywhere on who will be on Season 3 of Soundstage (at least not that I can find on the site).

Hmm...maybe when it expired, she transferred it over? I'm honestly not sure. I haven't been on her site in quite some time so maybe I always did go to .com

I think we discovered with the whole fanclub fiasco that official anything isn't always better Hell, we find out more information through each other than any site has ever given to us. I guess that's the way it's always going to be.

Thanks for the link. So they are showing re-runs of season 2 starting in April. That does not look too good for Lindsey's show. I guess that we will have to wait and see.

"Always"? How about "virtually never"?

To this day, it amazes me when fans say they are tracking "information" on the Nicks Fix.

Information about what?

These official sites go so far as to proclaim that they will NOT print news until it is "official." But if news is official, it is ipso facto in print in newspapers, Billboard, etc., already. So what good does the Web site do? Once you've been rear-ended, do you really need to hear the policeman tell you, "You had an accident"?

Like I said before. I think that it is pretty sad when a website that has something to do with Taku's drums had Stevie's tour schedule posted before any 'official" site did.

Why, David...places where people have made random quotes in reference to Stevie, of course!

The Nicksfix is nice for past information--articles, photographs, etc. but as far as being a wealth for current information, we've been getting our news through other outlets before her site posts anything at all. The only reason I go and read The Nicksfix is to find out whether or not they've updated Sharon's Q&A.

Didn't someone say a while ago that the new season started in June?

As for LindseyBuckingham.com - very puzzling that they wouldn't renew the domain name. It doesn't cost that much to do so. I'm not sure what this signifies.

His site is located at .net. I guess that must be something new. Unless they owned both domain names?

I don't get to check The Ledge often these days so apologies if this is old information but you guys do know that LB's soundstage show is currently being mixed in 5.1 for release on DVD, right?

Or at least I hope you knew that! I think it's excellent that we're going to be getting this show on DVD - some really juicy stuff on it!

Thanks for the info but do you know when it is going to be released? I am pretty sure that my local PBS station will only air it once if that and it will be at 4AM one morning. I am really hoping that we see this DVD very soon!

PBS is probably waiting until their fall pledge drive...meanwhile, the DVD will already be out and most of those who want it, will have it. The PBS airing will just be an edited version of the DVD, I would imagine.

Jessica owned the .net domain previous to having the .com domain. Her old pre-official site was on there (it used to be called "follow the sound" I believe).
