Yep, it was Night Ranger. The guitarist (Jack Blades was his name, I think) was also in another band in the early '90's (but I think it was for only one album?) ~ the group was called 'Damn Yankees' and featured Ted Nugent, as well. I'm a bit rusty on my '80's trivia, lol! My husband *loves* both Night Ranger and Damn Yankees. I remember 'Sister Christian' being really popular when I was in High School.

And it was the DRUMMER who sang it! I've worked with them once. He wore a headset mic, and came out front for the non-drumming parts of the song(sans the vesturbation though ). Seems like he had his kit kinda sideways, making the walking out front, while singing, easier.
Ah, I've lost more memories than I retain!

Damn Yankees - loved them! I don't care, say what you will! Although, "High Enough" is one of the most annoyingly overplayed songs from that time. "Come Again" was much better

Night Ranger is classic 80's. Cheesy as can be, but I'll listen to them too. My SIL has this thing where she plays "Sister Christian" whenever we're partying. Now we all know all of the words, whether we wanted to or not.

And we can't forget the Asian boy in Boogie Nights tossing firecrackers around the room while "Sister Christian" was playing.

bassist Jack Blades was in Damn Yankees for a few years (Damn Yankees only released 2 albums: "Damn Yankees" & "Don't Tread") along with Tommy Shaw & Ted Nugent.

Drummer Kelly Keagy was/is the singer & song writer for the song "Sister Christian".

I know! That knocked me out when I saw that, too. Besides Don Henley, I really hadn't seen too many singers from behind a drum kit. It's cool!

Triumph is one band who had a great singer who happened to be the drummer, Gil Moore...A helluva great drummer too!

I like Tommy Shaw a lot. One of my favourite songs he did with Styx is 'Blue Collar Man'...it rocks.

Brian, I finally added the new CD release of The Beatles' first albums to my Beatles collection...what do you think of it? I haven't had a listen to it yet, but of course, no matter, I had to add it to my collection.

with the Beatles...If I had to recommend one of their alums I always pick my personal fave:

Abbey Road

Damn Yankees played "Blue Collar Man" along with another Tommy Shaw Styx track "Renegade" in concert...Kinda funny but Damn Yankees played a few shows about 2 months back at Alice Cooper's "Cooperstown" in Phoenix, There's been rumors that a new Damn Yankees album is in the works.
