Default Projects for Adam Sandler

This man is a genius. I desperately hope the french take up the cause of "sandler as american movie great."

Anyway, i'd love to see sandler in:

a western
as Dirty Harry
in Planet of the Apes as taylor or as ape
in a remake of the Graduate
in Straw Dogs

God bless Adam 'Shampoo Is Better' Sandler!

Good christ, I'd pay cash money to see Sandler in a remake of Straw Dogs. That would give me enough laughing material for the rest of my life.

Too bad Ed Norton beat him to the punch, though.

Sacrilege. Don't ever use those words around a product whore!

I'm still alternately amused and freaked out that David knows even a little bit about Adam Sandler.

Billy Madison is a dumb movie but I love it. Sandler, what a riot, I love that guy. Chief David HeadyBrew see Billy Madison & find Adam Sandler much funny & weird. He know good medicine for making Chief David feel stupid, giggly, lighthead. Silly, & much laugh. Adam Sandler honorary chief of Headybrew Nation!

Another idea for casting: Adam Sandler as General De Gaulle.

I just saw Happy Gilmore a few months ago on digital cable & it's one of the funniest movies I ever did see. I laughed, I cried in pain from too much laughter. I woke up people trying to sleep. I hollered, I hooted, my lungs nearly collapsed.

Now his Little Nicky or whatever it's called was a disappointment but Happy Gilmore & Billy Madison are two great comedy classics, like Midnight & Easy Living. His way of talking is pure genius. It's inspired, different, radical. Silly, yes, but also astoundingly brilliant. Plus, I saw The Wedding Singer on Thanksgiving with family. Man oh man .... I was stuffed full of turkey & potaters & stuffing & such when I was watching Wedding Singer & fell into such an intense laughing fit my lungs nearly collapsed & I nearly died.

Gotta tell ya, this Adam Sandler is a miracle, a wonder, a phenomenon ----- also, sorry for all the parataxis but Adam brings it out, wakes up Homer from his nodding.

He's a loser/winner .... he's a dork/cool guy. He connects with children because he's half kid himself & because he respects kids as semi-adults possessed of thought & sensitivity. Next week they are showing Big Daddy on Fox channel ---- I hope I make it out alive.

The predecessor (?) to Amazing Adam was Rosalind Russell in Picnic, the old maid schoolmarm who doesn't care what people say: "What do people say if I thumb my nose at them?! What do people say if I walk down the street with little pink panties on?! What do I care what people say?!"

I'm also a fan and I own a copy of The Wedding Singer. LOVE that movie. "Hey, psycho, get out of my Van Halen t-shirt before you jinx the band and they break up!" And, "Cindy and Scott are newwwwlyweds, well whoop dee doo!!"

Sandler as Lindsey in the story of Fleetwood Mac. A good buddy film except the buddy is a snarky kid. Hmmm...

"Billy Idol gets it."

I liked him a lot in Punch Drunk Love. It could be interesting to see him in an adaptation of The Idiot by Dostoevsky or in a "The trial" remake with Clint Eastwood as director.

Or Dostoevsky's Notes from Underground? Or would that be too disturbing?

Eh, I don't like Adam Sandler at all. I don't think I've liked anything I've seen him in. Punch Drunk Love was alot better then most of his material though.

Man, I'd forgotten all about that. I just can't see him being so, uh, insightful as that character. Nor would I care to see the rape scene.

I don't like him either. Actually, I can't stand him. I'm not a huge fan of his type of humor and I feel as if my IQ drops 12 points every time I hear him speak. That mildly-retarded drawl of his drives me batty. Phillip Seymour Hoffman and Emily Watson were fab in Punch Drunk Love, though.

Exactly. He's one of those guys that actually bugs me to even look at. So annoying.

I know, I know. But I'm guilty anyway. I love Billy Madison. From some reason, I think it's great to ridicule a kid who can't read quickly enough. Isn't that awful?
