Default Project Runway

Anyone watching the finale tonight?

I hope Wendy takes it all, baby. I'd get such pleasure out of watching the reactions from the others.

What the hell happened to Parker Posey's hair?

Is she playing Liz Taylor (in the bad drug years) in a movie I haven't heard about yet?

I thought her collection was fabulous. Some of the cuts on those dresses were jaw-droppingly gorgeous. I really liked it and I haven't even liked half of her other designs.

Jay was amazing, though. He deserved to win. Truly creative and beautiful.

Kara Saun? Oh.My.Gah. TERRIBLE. There can be no question that she is a costume designer. Each dress had the same cut and fit, they all looked like something you'd find at your local mall in that gross Debs store. The caps really put the whole collection over the top and made everything look costumey. It all just hurt my eyes. Garrish and tacky; I couldn't believe it.

Parker was on something, she was high as a kite.

Michael Kors did everything but accuse Kara of stealing all her designs from Gucci... And that dress the model couldn't walk in? Even *I* know that was a bad idea, and I'm sitting here in a ripped t-shirt.

M Kors can be DEAD on in design, but when he misses, which sadly is often, it is like watching Ishtar - Sheesh!!!!

She totally was tripping down the runway...she should have really took it up an inch. Even though she thinks it might have taken away from the dress, it wouldn't have pulled the focus away from the design and onto the model.

He wasn't wrong, though. They were very cheap and uninspired. Rather lazy and old hat if you ask me. She used too many leathers and when she threw in fur, she coordinated it too well with the dress itself so that the fur lost any intensity that it might have had; it just blended too well. Her use of accessories was horrific, every one of the belts was the same, only on a different garment.

Don't even get me started on the cliched awfulness of a dress that her top model was wearing. I've seen that dress dozens of times and it's usually been much better. It truly looked like something Anna Nicole would have tried to wear at 250 pounds.

This is the same woman who insisted on the Genie pants with her Grammy outfit.

She's too stubborn to realize that too much is too much.

Michael Kors has been pilfering from himself for years. I haven't seen anything remotely appealing or attractive from him in ages; he's been sliding downhill for as long as I can remember. He'll be on QVC within five years, mark my words.

His shoes are just about the bloody ugliest things I've ever seen, too.

Were we watching the same designs come down the runway in regards to Wendy? To me, Wendy's problem was that she tried too hard to make her designs her own and it came out looking like total Eurotrash. Had Tim not showed up, look at what would have went down the runway. The only piece I liked from her collection was the red dress that was a total throwback to Grace Kelly--it was gorgeous but I like that style. And furthermore, HOW COULD YOU NOT KNOW YOU NEED YOUR OWN ACCESSORIES?! Honestly the only person I felt bad for there was Melissa because she ended up with Wendy but i've no doubt she'll end up with a stellar modeling contract out of this anyway.

Kara Saun...her designs themselves are impeccible and her dresses are very wearable but i'll agree...it looks like Gucci right down to the addition of the belt.

Jay's I absolutely loved. While I wouldn't necessarily wear everything in the collection (but I would totally steal his purple patchwork trench...it was GORGEOUS!) it flowed and it was him to a tee. I loved it.

All in all, I feel they chose the right person and it'll be interesting to see where he goes with this.

Well, he already is in lower end, but still nice, dept. stores here. I think he uses color effectively and I like the cuts of some of his things. He just, to me, borders sometimes on Garanimals and for the price it is just not worth it.

We most certainly were. 10 out of 12 were stunning to these eyes. Understated, elegant, cut perfectly, and the fabrics were phenomenal. Unlike Austin, she knows how to pull of glamour without looking like a design school sophmore. Totally loved her collection.

Her designs are as wearable as a used condom. She tries too hard and ends up getting mired in tackiness and tediousness. Too over the top, loud, and costumey. She's good for the movies, but not for much else, IMO. And I am so happy I don't need to see her sanctimonious, egotistical, bitchy little ass anymore. She's a horror of epic proportions.

I loved Jay. I just want to squeeze him, he's so adorable.

Which is hilarious because he would always accuse these designers of bordering on Garanimals. I cringed every time he would say someone's design looked dowdy because he's the King of the Dowdy. He can use color perfectly, but if the garment itself is unflattering (which I believe 98% of his designs to be) and rather amateurish looking, color will do nothing to save it. He's over, clear the schedule for him at HSN.
