Talking Stevie snubbed during "Leather & Lace"???

I was doing some music research today when I stumbled upon this little mention of Stevie being somewhat snubbed by Jerry Harrison (Former singer for the 80's/90's Phoenix based hard rock band Icon)

"Jerry Harrison was invited on stage at a Stevie Nicks concert in the mid 80's at Compton Terrace in Chandler, Arizona to duet with Stevie on 'Leather And Lace'. Jerry says he walked off midway through as he didn't know all the words."

------------------------

Damn dude, That is pretty screwed up to not know the lyrics and just walk off stage

Hey, that's cool, Brian!! Thanks for digging that up. Could that have been the June 28 Compton Terrace show on the RAL tour? I don't think I've ever heard a tape of that show -- did anyone here attend it?

may exist, Have to check around a bit.

Kinda funny but another former member of Icon was in Stevie's band, Kevin Stoller on keyboards.

I think what's even funnier is that Stevie just assumes that everyone knows the lyrics to her songs! Although, it is kinda stupid that the guy walked up there not knowing the words, I mean, what did he think he was gonna do, wing it?!?!?!

Well, I wouldn't exactly say that he snubbed Stevie. If you don't know the words, why pretend you do? Are you just going to stand there & hum?

Exactly! Sounds like the guy made a total fool of himself. I just think it's damn hilarious!

For a minute I thought it was Jerry Harrison of Talking Heads. Now that would have been awkward, (and awful sounding)....

Why did he go on stage in the first place if he didn't know the lyrics? He had to have looked like a total fool. Though I wouldn't consider it a snubbing of Stevie...just a moment of idiocy for him!
