Do you think Lindsey didn't have enough US singles with the band? Was he seen more as just a guitar player than a singer/hit maker and a producer.
He's the only songs released to the general public: Were they good representations of him? -Go Your Own Way US: Dec '76 UK: Jan '77 -Tusk US: Oct '79 UK: Sept '79 -Not That Funny US: Not Released UK: Feb '80 -Oh Diane US: March '83 UK: Dec '82 -Can't Go Back US: Not Released UK: April '83 -Big Love -US: March '87 -UK: March '87 -Family Man -US: March '88 -UK: Sept '87 Lindsey Single US releases: 4 Stevie: 7 Christine: 9 (+3 after Lindsey)

I think The Ledge would've been an excellent single. Catchy, upbeat sounding..

Quote:
I don't think there were many missed opportunities with Lindsey's stuff. Besides the songs that were actually released as singles, I can't think of any that would have been obvious hits. (Of course, "Tusk" wasn't exactly an obvious hit either. )"Bleed to Love Her," maybe -- the Dance version, not the atrocity that ended up on SYW. |
