Here I am at this again=:-)
Here are mine: ...I'd like to leave you with something warm But never have I been a blue calm sea I've always been a storm, always been a storm I have always been a storm Every day you do not come Your softness fades away We were frail She said "Everynight he will break your heart" I should have known from the first I'd be the broken hearted But I loved you from the start Save us... And not all the prayers in the world -- could save us Question: Somebody who has the alternate version where somebody sings "Save us" real loud-is it Stevie singing that on another track or is it Lindsey? I've never been able to tell.. HAEWAFY: In all your darkest hours did you ever hear me sing? Listen to me now Don't you know I'd rather be alone than be without you? I have, I have given that to you, if it's all I ever do This is your song Poet priest of nothing legend and the way this fades out

Storms
"Every night that goes between I feel a little less As you slowly go away from me This is only another test" "And I did not deal with you I know Though the love has always been So I search to find an answer there So I can truly win" HAEWAFY "Did you ever give it back? Well, I have I have given that to you If it's all I ever do This is your song" |

Wow - I can honestly say that ALL lines from those two songs are amazing...
Both songs have incredibly special and personal meaning for me... I do think the "NEver have a been a blue calm sea, I've always been a storm" is an incredibly beautiful line..LOVE IT!! So if I had to pick one out that'd probably be it... As for HAEWAFY... "You know I'd rather be alone than be without you...." Hard - those are probably two of my favorite Stevie songs ![]() |

well, I love every line from Storms, so i can't really pick.
and i don't really like HAEWAFY, so, although i know there are many beautiful lines, i'm sure, I can't remember all the words...

Ditto And I like the live versions where she goes "...and I thought there was a connection....." "Sing for him" on Red Rocks gets me everytime, too.

As for HAEWAFY, I'd say: "And the rain comes down There's no pain and there's no doubt It was easy to say I believed in you every day If not for me Then do it for the world" |

About HAEWAFY, I don't like it much on the record, but live is beautiful, my favourite lines: "So if not for me, then, do it for yourself, if not for me well, do it for the world. And when they ask her about the men in her life, she says well they were poets, and yet they were priests of nothing, but they were legends..." Romy

My favorite from Storms is the I try to say goodbye my friend, I'd like to leave you with something warm, but never have I been a blue calm sea, I've always been a storm. I used that as my senior quote in my high school year book. They said to say something to leave the school with or a goodbye to your classmates and all that crap...I had nothing good to say to any of those b!tches, so that line about summed it up!

Storms is one of my favorite songs ever so its difficult to pick a favorite line. I really love
"every night you do not come, your softness fades away" and "save us...not all the prayers in the world could save us" The whole song is just gorgeous. I have never been much of a fan of HAEWAFY. I know that is shocking as so many people love it but I just am not a fan. I do like the ending live when she says/sings "and when they ask her about the men in her life..and they do ask her..she says, they were poets, yet they were priests of nothing, they were legends". Very cool. Still the song is a bit too mushy for me, especially knowing the story behind it. Her voice is a powerful thing and can heal alot of emotions, but the loss of your only child will take much more than "listening" to Stevie's voice. I think that is why I do not connect with the song all that much. I do LOVE LOVE LOVE the live Woodstock 98 version. She really let go, allowed her emotions to flood out and that did touch me deeply.

"Every hour I feel I've spent, my body tries to cry" "Living through each empty night, a deadly calm inside" HAEWATFY: (From Storytellers) "And when they ask her about the men in her life and they do ask her." "She says well, they were poets, and yet they were priests of nothing, but they were legends." :little teary on that one:Brit
