Default Anyone read NME Magazine?

And if so, where do you get it?

I want this weeks issue so badly but I can't find it anywhere.

I used to, a long time ago... always bought it at Waldenbooks.

What kind of stores have you checked? Just bookstores, or bookstores and music stores? Try an F.Y.E. if you have one around you.

Who's on the cover this week? Franz Ferdinand? (I still need to hear "Michael," by the way.)

I checked Barnes and Noble the other day and I checked the newstand near my apartment this morning, had no luck. I should try Waldenbooks.

Yeah, they edited this weeks issue and are on the cover. I mainly want it because I want to enter the contest (http://www.nme.com/features/110962.htm) and you have to answer the question in the mag in order to do so. Wish I lived in the UK, dammit.

I ordered the Michael single from Amazon, you should go there and read the user reviews. Talk about homophobes, jesus christ.

I'm surprised B&N didn't have it... but definitely try Waldenbooks.

I was going to suggest visiting their website and ordering it as a back-issue, until you said you wanted to enter the contest. A back-issue definitely wouldn't do then!

Some pretty awesome prizes up for grabs actually. I was impressed.

Funny you mention that... I was checking out the album, and some of the reviews, after you and Ryan were discussing the song the other day. The homophobic comments just made me want to hear it all the more!

More power to F.F. for shakin' people up!

One woman said they only get it bi-monthly at B&N, but then another said that they get it weekly, it's just a week late because it's imported. But I need it now.

I know, most contests suck (which is why I never enter them) but this one kicks ass. I did read a few transcripts of the mag, though, and Elton John interviews them. He asks them who has the "biggest knob" and they offer to drop their pants and let him judge.

I love the reviews where people go "Michael is the worst song of the year, totally gross. Makes me want to vomit. Ew ew ew." They're hysterical. The Village Voice had a great article about it, did you read it?

I? Am such a fan that I put the Chiffonheads to shame.

You should definitely be able to get it at Barnes and Noble or Borders- but the woman was probably right, the stores do tend to be a bit behind in getting the import mags.

"Michael"? is the sexiest song of last year. My favorite on the record, next to "This Fire."

Yeah, I'm gonna hit another B&N tomorrow after I go to the movies. Hopefully I'll find it.

I think Come On Home is pretty sexy. And Auf Achse.

Yup. If you could give it to me, I'd be your slave.

I went to Barnes and Noble today and they said they were getting the Jan. 8th issue in on Tuesday, so I reserved a copy. All they had were two copies of the one with U2 on the cover, which I bought because Le Franz was in it.

Oh my, there's a poster in this issue.

I feel bad, I'm thinking of taking down one of my Matisse's for space to put the poster up.

(I would have posted this earlier but I've forgotten my password so couldn't log in at work, sorry).
Thanks anyways.

Hopefully I'll have the issue tomorrow sometime!
