Default I may never eat out again....

Even though I wasn't going to - I broke down and rented "Super Size Me" this weekend.

How disturbing.

I was disgusted - and I"d eaten at this horrid restaurant earlier - so I'm not sure if it was that or the movie or a combination of the two - but I was SO naseaus by the end of that...

And the famous fry experiment - that really disturbed me

I know this film has been discussed on here before - but I had not seen it up until now ....I'm seriously disturbed haha...

I guess it's a good thing though that I'm now completely repulsed by fast food

Yeah - I didn't really want to see it - and when I rented it I didn't think it would have that big an impact on me...but it did!

I also have had the worst time losing these extra ten pounds I gained over the summer- and I know it's due to my horrible eating habits - I went out yesterday to the store and bought a ton of veggies, a little fruit, whole grain bread and lean meat lol....I am now not even craving the fast food...we'll see how long it lasts lol.....

I read that people who even only eat fast food once a week are heavier than those who do not. I would also like to shed some pounds. I don't often eat fast food myself but yesterday I waited too long to eat and was so starving I could not drive past the drive thru.

What is in this movie that will make me stop eating this crap?

After almost two months, McDonald's french fries left in a warm and moist room didn't even begin to break down. And it took weeks for the burgers to finally do so.

It is just alarming what the stuff did to this guy - the problems he developed as a result of eating so much of it...

Also he shows like how much sugar he ingested....they show a stomach staple surgery (can't remember the actual name of this procedure...) and that freaked me out something fierce....

Um yeah - I'm guessing different things in the movie would affect different people but I ate a lot of fast food (specifically McDonalds) throughout my life- and this just brought to life how truly crappy it is for one's system...

that was totally alarming...I mean - they looked like they'd just been purchased...what the hell do they put in those fries??

Also - the bugers blech - if I even start to crave one I can just picture the nasty molded ones...

OH - and the chicken nuggets thing...yuck.

My sister watched it with me and had the same reactions - she's got a five year old son who she is never going to let eat there again either...not a huge loss as he's more interested in the toys than the food...

Okay, dare I ask what's with the chicken nuggets? Same massive amount of preservatives or something else? I gotta see this movie I guess. I like to be informed even when it's nasty.

It's EVERY part of the chicken, ground up and then pressed and processed to look like chicken. Some of it isn't even chicken.

Gross, I won't even feed that to my cat! I started buying him Wellness cat food because I heard that everything is in the food including non-food stuff. I never eat chicken nuggets anyway because they seemed like mystery meat.

Well from what I recall - and I'm sure someone else can give a better description on the chicken nuggets...there was just this horrid animation of a chicken with abnormally large and saggy breasts...and the whole process described was just yucky...wow -that was probably no help at all...haha...but I just remember some parts more than others - I knw I was disturbed by it - yet can't recall all the happenings completely...

My mom has been telling me that one since i was little. gross. I had an extreme sausage sandwich from JITB this morning....does anyone really need sausage, let alone EXTREME sausage? I want to see this movie, though. I eschewed fast food for years when i was Vegan, but it would be nice if someone would refresh my disgust, and knock some sense into me.
