Default Diva's Las Vegas

Just watched Stevie perform with the Ditzie Twits (aka the Dixie Chicks) on Diva's Las Vegas singing Landslide (their version), it was on Much More Music (our pathedic version of VH1) for the ump teenth time......anywhooooo, was wondering what ya'all thought of Stevie's performance in that, other than that she was completely drowned out by the chicks!

She did look fabulous though!!

I think her mic died in the middle of the song and came back towards the end.

The "Landslide" performance was OK to me, but I really liked her part of the Elvis medley "Ring Around Your Neck" . When I first heard about the DLV CD and DVD I was excited. I went looking for them both at Best Buy ... and was totally p*ssed when I saw they had cut her out. That was just wrong.

So I'm not the only one who couldn't hear her.....you really think her mic quit? I never thought of that. Did her voice crack at the beginning of her one solo line...."take this love, take it down"?

Yeah, her mic was screwed up. Actually, her voice didn't crack on that line, that was the mic malfunctioning. I guess they went back and fixed it because when they would show reruns of Diva's Las Vegas, that line sounded fine, and she wasn't drowned out by Natalie.

It had to be the mic, judging by the glance she immediately cast at someone after that line . I thought Stevie's performance at Divas was great, she's been very classy, I love the way she ended the song, and the huge applause she (okay... they) got.

It was the mike, I heard that they aired another version later without the break in that line, but I missed it. It was just an audio screw-up.

The first time I saw the clip from Divas I remember hating that mike ... But that was the only point where I noticed the audio screw-up, for the rest of the song I thought she had decided to sing it very quietly not to outclass them. I'm curious to listen to the other version, to have less Dixie Chicks and more Stevie.

I love this version of Landslide because Stevie gets so much praise for her little one line solo part. It is obvious everyone would have prefered a Stevie Nicks solo version of Landslide. I just love it when Stevie gets the praise and attention she deserves.
