Default Random encounter with Leather and Lace

My mom called Sunday night to tell me that she heard a Stevie song on the show Cold Case. I immediately knew it was Leather and Lace (thanks to the Nicks Fix sighting a few months ago) and said, "yeah, that's Leather and Lace." My mom then said, "Oh, is that song NEW?"

The next two minutes of the conversation were filled with hysterical laughter from me over her lack of Stevie knowledge. I also had to explain to her that Don Henley of the Eagles was singing with her and who the hell the Eagles are

I replied with, "No mom. That song came out in the fall of 1981. You know, back when I was born. It's as old as I am!" Well, long story short, she likes the song and wants a copy of Bella Donna. Yay for my mom finally being cool!

Heart Leather...and Lace

Funnt=y story- I am 46 years old and my best friend goyt married in like 1981...when she was trying to decide on songs she wanted sung at her wedding...she was having a hard time- I called her and suggested this song-that I proceeded to sing to her...my voice is raspy and not that great...but she is/was a sweet girly girl..and her husband to be was this really rough "leather" kind of guy and the song fit perfectly!! Anway they asked me to sing it for them at their wedding (too insecure/stagefright) anyway.. didn't happen Another vocalist did the song bit whenever I hear that song...to this day I think of Ellen and Ted with the warmest wishes....always,

Things like that happen to casual fans. I remember in the early 90s (long before Hell Freezes Over) a friend had the radio on in his car and a song came on and I said That sounds like the Eagles? Have they reunited? The song was Best of My Love. I actually started to look for all the Eagles musical legacy in the mid 90s, I would hardly make a mistake like that now, but it could happen with another band I don't know well.

Anyway I found this article that talks about L&L, a song within my favorites.

This is the list. It puts another song I love, SDMHA in #3. I read this lists just for fun, not as absolute truth. I don't take them too seriously, but there are some really good songs in this article.
