I love to waltz with a man...in a darklinensuit....

But where is he?

Jake hasn't been around for a while....anyone know what the deal is? Just being nosy I guess- but I've missed seeing him around here...

amber · #2 09-13-2004, 03:42 PM

Yeah, I asked the same thing when he first dissappeared, and they said he was back to the daily grind of teaching school. It's hard to believe he can't pop in every now and then, but...I dunno. I really, really, miss him. He probably doesn't care, though, knowing him!

No one told me whether he only posts in the summer, or something....

No - he used to post year-round...so that's why I was curious...even when school was in I remember him posting...how else does one amass 7,000+ posts

No seriously though - I hope everythings alright...

jadegypsy · #4 09-13-2004, 04:31 PM

yeah I agree he was always good at making me laugh and being a bit sarcastic. I hope everything is okay, maybe after he sees all this musings of where he is he'll post.

Patti · #5 09-13-2004, 04:33 PM

We miss you, Jake--come back!

amber · #6 09-13-2004, 04:34 PM

Omigod, he used to post year round? Maybe he just hates our asses, now....

If you look at his profile page, it says there hasn't been any activity since August 13th. Does this mean he hasn't even logged onto The Ledge since then?

My (completely uninformed) theory: he met someone, and he's spent every spare minute of his free time nekkid and sticky.

At least I hope so -- I never fail to be amused by his musings. I remember one thread where someone suggested re-naming The Ledge as "Jake's Pointless Post Emporium."

Jake, please come back! We need to know which color socks you're wearing, and if you prefer the toilet paper roll installed overhand or underhand...

DeeGeMe · #8 09-14-2004, 07:27 AM

Jake--you are missed!

DownOnRodeo · #9 09-14-2004, 08:10 AM

I've been meaning to start this thread. I've been awol too but now that I'm sort of back I've been wondering how he's doing and where he is. Perhaps he's going down into Soho as I get my rest tonight!

Now that I too am working as an English teacher I need to drain his brain (shouldn't take long

)

How are ya?

Jake's probably busy with school and stuff. He'll return, I'm sure.

hayley · #11 09-14-2004, 10:22 AM

Maybe Carne was really Jake too and can't ever come back!

I hope that's the case...it's just not the same without him around...

But seriously - I mean, I hope he met someone, too, but to not be on the ledge for a whole month? It's kinda suspicious....someone must be his friend, or something who knows the truth. Who would that person be?
