Exclamation Black Sabbath vs. George "War Pig" Bush...

According to Drudgereport.com, Ozzy Osbourne and his BLACK SABBATH mates are opening their current Ozzfest sets with the song "War Pigs" backed by video footage that compares George W. Bush to Adolf Hitler.

The video reportedly features Bush and Hitler on the same screen, with the caption "Same ****, different asshole.” Another picture, of Bush with a clown nose was captioned “The White House Circus."

Other bands on the Ozzfest bill expressed support for the war. BLACK LABEL SOCIETY featuring Ozzy's guitarist Zakk Wylde, in characteristic fashion, vented his thoughts on terrorism with a “profanity laced tirade.”

The concert featured a few songs dedicated to the men and women serving overseas.

Oh, Brian.

Never, and I mean never, cite the Drudge Report. Matt Drudge is the lowest form of scum in every possible way. In the past he's said that Kerry and Edwards are having a torrid gay affair, that Edwards is in jeopardy of being kicked off the icket because he drinks too much Diet Coke, and that Kerry smuggled his black mistress out of the country before the primaries.

Having said that, if the Ozzy thing is true, I guess the Osbournes will no longer be invited to White House dinners.

but I don't care about Drudge or what he spouts/preaches/BS's/whatever, I was posting that I find it funny that the metal community, That "liberals/conservatives/yuppies/etc." fear & hate so f--king much, Are not as narrow minded as some are lead to believe...And it is true, plain & simple (Love the caption "Same ****, different asshole")

Makes me want to drive to Dallas and see the upcoming Ozzfest show at the Smirnoff Music Centre (Mainly because I am more at home among the metal crowd than any other, Including the FM crowd.)

Aside from it being from the Drudge Report - I also found this article very amusing....especially since my ex-boyfriend (and still best friend) is a metal head haha...I forwarded the article to him...he loved Ozzy before it was cool to love Ozzy ya know? SO yeah....it would be interesting to go to Ozzfest and check it out...

like Ozzy, But that was before the reality TV BS...Now I feel he is a "lost puppy" that is pulling into directions that are hurting his health as well as his credibility in the metal community (Whereas he was once a well-respected "Father" figure, Now he is THE laughing joke...As Metallica once sang "Sad, But true")

Btw, I found the article NOT on the "Drug-gy-Report" but on a METAL website...

Ozzy usually starts off his show with some sort of parody on the vid screen. At one show I worked a few years ago, Oz was doing an Alanis Morrisette impression featuring a sex toy. It was quite hilarious. That being said, Drudge is scum.

The guy is worth hundred of millions by now and I'm sure he could care less what anybody thinks of him. At one show I worked, he flat out told the audience they were "suckers", in fact taunted them with it all night. They ate it up. As for the health issues, they've been chronic. The prescription drug regimen he was on was enough to kill anybody. He knows better. I empathize with the man and his family but I most certainly do not feel sorry for them.
I will say that this is a different guy than the one I first saw on the Blizzard Of Oz tour at the Ocean State Theater about circa 1981. He wore a white Elvis like jumpsuit, sang and jumped around the stage and had a fabulous light show. The band kicked ass, too. But then, nobody is the same as they were then.

I doubt Ozzy has hundred of millions, Ask his former band mates (Lee Kerslake & Bob Daisley from the Blizzard Of Ozz era) why he refused to pay 'em royalty checks for their work for years, And Ozzy even went as far as to remove their backing tracks from "Blizzard Of Ozz" & "Diary Of A Madman" and replace 'em with new backing tracks ("Let's re-write history, So we don't have to pay royalties rightly deserved....Sharrrooonnnn") to avoid payin' em.

I wished he was back to the humorous way he once was back in the mid 80's-early 90's....But seeing Ozzy's current state now is very sickening ( I will give him credit for asking Mick Fleetwood how much coke he has done/is doing on Rockline...LOL!!!!)

My guess is that struggle is about something else besides the money. Plus, managers, accountants, record companies, etc. always want to shy away from paying anything out in these cases for fear of setting a precedent. His wife is an extremely shrewd businesswoman. I have no doubt they a worth at least $100 million.

surprising (According to the court docket) it was all about getting "rightful credit where credit is just due"...Kerslake & Daisley did not ask for millions just what the original contract with Ozzy stated, And what did they get in the end for the trouble? Nothin'...I have to take their side, I would not be happy to see something I created erased and replaced with something else to avoid receiving credit/profit when it was my work in the first place.

As for Sharon being a shrewd business manager, That is a major understatement. Even those close to the Randy Rhoads estate were disappointed in the "tampering with history" with the removal of the original backing tracks

Matter-of-fact, When Ozzy's entire catalog was remastered/expanded/reissued in 2002 through Sony, The 1982 live album "Speak Of The Devil" & 1986's "The Ultimate Sin" were totally deleted out of circulation to avoid paying royalties to the backing musicians. Really sad to delete more history in favor of the "all-mighty $$$$"

Amazing. That leads me to believe even further that what's going on here is more of a personal nature, as opposed to a financial one.
