Default just a random observation about Go Insane

I downloaded the entire album with WinMx, because I only had it on lp. ( yeah.. I know.. that calls herself an LB fan.. ) Anyway, I hardly ever play lp's anymore, so it has been quite a while since I last had a good listen to GI. First thing I notice.. it sounds a lot like the Eurythmics did in the same time period! Does anyone else hear that?

As Johnny Stew once pointed out, it might as well have been Queen or The Cars, or nearly any other early '80s synth-rock act. Nearly every older artist took something from these "pioneers" anyway.
I also hear Adrian Belew (in the guitar treatments of "I Want You"), New Order ("I Must Go"), Laurie Anderson ("Play In The Rain", the start of "I Want You") and Kate Bush (of Hounds Of Love) in there so it's not like there's ever been a single influence for the album. His love for the Beach Boys is once again demonstrated, and not just on "D.W. Suite".

Kate Bush! I can hear that too. Running Up That Hill.. House on the hill?! ay, that's nearly plagiarism
But it's not the only song of either of them that I've heard something similar on.
A lot of the synthesizer stuff sounds just so much like Sweet Dreams/Be Yourself Tonight, two albums I know like the back of my hand, thanks to the good influence of an older sister
