Talking Punky Brewster

(I know Christy will be the first to reply, mark my words... )

Who else loves this show? I grew up watching this and Small Wonder in the morning before I went to school and was shocked when I came across the first season on DVD at Barnes & Noble.

It has all 23 episodes from the first season, plus over two hours of the Saturday morning cartoon "It's Punky Brewster." I can't wait until they release the other three seasons, it's so much fun watching these for the first time in years!!!

Cool Goober.

LMAO!!

I loved Punky!!! My fave episode...when Cherie got stuck in the fridge and "died" (you know what I mean LOL) and they had to use CPR on her. I never forgot the impact of that particular show on me. I took a CPR class in college because of that.

Yep, I watched the cartoon as well, with that weird, freaky, talking furry animal thing. What was it's name? LOL

We just released the Punky set a few weeks ago, glad you found it, Diss- Christy, you should pick it up if you haven't already.

I still haven't opened my copy, maybe I will in a couple of weeks. I only faintly remember the show from when I was a kid. The thing I remember most about it was all the talk about Soleil Moon Frye's boobs- lolol

No offense, but yaaaargggghhh! Okay, punky-I know, I know. But small wonder? Worst show ever. But - young people have different tastes. However - my favorite shows when I was 7,8,9 were Threes Company and Laverne and Shirley, and Scooby Doo, and anything Buggs Bunny. But i'm glad you're thoroughly enjoying your punky nostalgia. When i was in 5th grade, a lot of people had the sock and bandanna, which was cute. Punk on!

Does anybody watch Gilmore Girls? One of Rory's roommates this last season reminded me so much of the girl from Small Wonder, all grown up. I don't think they're the same actress, but I always thought it was weird.

I liked Small Wonder, but I also had no taste at the time.

Exclamation Lol

I watched Small Wonder too. Sure, it's no great TV show, but I was a TV addict growing up (still am kinda...but the net has taken over my frikkin life LOL). Any TV show you mention, I've probably seen it at least once. I don't know how I watched so much TV, yet played with my friends, played video games...etc.

I know! I remember I was little and saw her on TV after her breast reduction surgery and the before pictures were shocking. I'm surprised she could walk with them jilopi's on her chest.

Do you have any idea when the second seasonw ill come out? I know it's premature, but I want more. And I want Small Wonder, too.

Perhaps you forgot to go to school? Really it was because we all used to have summers off, that you had that kind of time. *sigh*. Summers off.....

That girl Harriet used to drive me nuts on Small Wonder. She was sooooooo annoying. LOVED that show. When I was little, I thought it was the best thing ever (after Punky, of course).

Honestly, I don't know if they'll do the second season... Shout! Factory is the company that's put them out, and we distribute them, and they've had some great product lately- Freaks and Geeks, SCTV, Unprecedented, How's Your News?, a lot others... a lot of times, though, companies will put out the first season of these shows, and will only release the subsequent ones if the demand is enough.

Supposedly, that's one of the reasons they haven't put out Twin Peaks season 2 yet, which I think is BS, but hey.

Small Wonder, I don't need on DVD, or Punky for that matter. LOL I am waiting for Keen Eddie (all 13 eps....damn you Fox ) on September 7th.

Default I liked it very much

Didn't love it but I liked Punky a lot. I remember the sad episode in memoriam the Challenger shuttle.

And a funny scene where the dog used to watch tv alone, and he always turned it off before the old man get into the house (and he said "I'd swear I heard the tv!!)

Small Wonder.. I like it too. Yeah, Harriet was SO ANNOYING but kinda my fave character there. Her colored ribbons in her hair was so ridiculous and funny..
