Question Can you listen a whole solo album at one time?

One of the reason Fleetwood Mac is my favorite band is the albums.
White Album, Rumours, TITN, all (rumours lineup) albums are my faves and I like to listen the whole record (even Behind the Mask). I may skip one or two songs, but usually I like to listen the whole work.

The combination of the songwriters, the production formula, three different voices, I don't know what is, but I know I got a great record and the deal worth it. I include live albums of course.

But when I listen a solo album, I usually don't play the whole record at one time. I select my preferred songs, or listen the first 4 or 5, and keep the rest for another day. Maybe OOTC is the only solo album that I like to listen almost (I say almost) everything. But I don't play a whole Stevie or Chris record, or other Lindsey records.

What about you?

I usually listen to all of Bella Donna, Rock A Little, and OSOTM (except for Juliet, since that's skipping now). With Lindsey, I don't really listen to his albums that much. I guess I have to be in the right "mood" for those.

I have always prefered a FLEETWOOD MAC album just for that reason. When I listen to any of my collection I play all tracks, always. The reason I got into this band in the first place was due to the diversity of style, music etc..etc..etc..

Talking Soooloooooo....LOL

I can listen to all the LB solo albums without skipping, they are all awesome. I prefer Stevie's FM stuff over her solo, but I like quite a bit of her solo stuff. Belladonna is my fave album, but I usually skip over Think About It. I made a CD of my fave Enchanted tracks, and I break that out sometimes. I very rarely listen to Wild Heart, Rock a Little, OSOTM, and I listen to TISL sometimes.

Of Stevie's, I will listen to Bella Donna, Timespace: The Best of, Trouble In Shangri-La and the Enchanted discs the whole way through, all the time.

And Lindsey's Out Of The Cradle, the whole way, all the time.

Other than that, most of the time, unless I'm in the middle of working or something and just let the whole thing play, I will pick and choose songs on all the others.

I tend to listen to selected tracks from various albums, as I like to mix things up, but when I'm going to listen to an album, I listen to the entire thing... whether it's a Fleetwood Mac album, or a solo album by Christine, Stevie or Lindsey.

(Of course, I rarely listen to the Mac albums in their original running order... I have my own customized track-listings that I prefer.)

Fleetwood Mac (and its members) make the music I love, and I never get the least bit tired of it (something I can't say about any other artist)... which is why I'm still a fan after all these years.

In fact, I actually recently burned an mp3 disc of every one of Stevie's officially released songs (including non-LP b-sides & soundtrack work), that clocks in around 10 hours long... which I listen to when I'm working around the house, or working on an art project.

I have intentions of making a similar Mac disc (might end up being two), but that's a little more involved, so I haven't gotten to it yet.
After that, Lindsey & Christine will each get their own career-spanning disc too.

I haven't been a fan as long as most people on this board, but believe me, I got here as fast as I could. That said, I've never been this obsessed with a group...EVER. Sure, when I was 12, I wanted to marry Joe McIntyre from New Kids...but...we all grow out of those phases. LOL I still like NKOTB tho...they are part of the soundtrack of my life.

I can listen to ALL of Rick Vito's solo albums all the way through 2 or 3x's in a row.

OOTC, for sure...I might skip "Street Of Dreams", though, depending on my mood.

All of the Peter Green Splinter Group, I can listen to all the way through.

TISL is the only Stevie solo album that I can...unless I just FORCE myself to listen through to the others. Even Bella Donna, I skip "Leather & Lace" & "The Highwayman" most of the time.

Christine's 1984 solo album is really easy to get all the way through, for me.

Most of Bob Welch's, too. Except for Man Overboard...I pick & choose my way through that one. "Be-Bop" is the easiest...I usually let it play through a couple of times in a row before changing to another CD.

Likewise with Bob Weston's "There's A Heaven"...a real easy listen from beginning to end.

To be honest with you, the only solo FM member albums I can listen to all the way through are Lindsey's Law and Order and OOTC. Only Stevie solo I can listen to the whole way through is Bella Donna (sans Leather and Lace- The Henley factor, etc). Now, this doesn't mean that I don't love her other solo work. I love all of her solo albums (except Street Angel, for obvious reasons), but they each have their low-points, as well as the high ones. I can also listen to Christine's '84 release, but So Excited makes me want to hurt myself . I ALWAYS skip that one. Also, I can listen to Buckingham Nicks without skipping anything.

Generally i dont listen to any one CD for very long, but there have been times when i do...and any cd i like a lot i can listen to the whole thing straight through. I have been able to do that easily with TISL as well as Bella Donna and Out of the Cradle..

I'm pretty good with CDs. I try not to buy them unless I really plan on listening to the album (with all the negative things Stevie has said about Street Angel I've yet to buy it, but probably will as I've heard a few tracks and they aren't as godawful as she makes them out to be).

That said, there are albums that I don't listen to as much as others. I had to bring Tango in the Night out a couple of months ago and put it in my daily rotation as I'd forgotten some of the songs. Stevie's Trouble in Shangri-La and Bella Donna are heavily on--as well as Disc 3 of Enchanted. I'm a big fan of the whole thing so listening to the whole album isn't really a pain to me.

I can easily listen to Stevie's Bella Donna and Trouble In Shangri-La. Christine's 1984 solo album (and the Christine Perfect album too), are perfectly listenable too. Much of Out Of The Cradle, but not all of it. All the rest of them have skippers. I hadn't thought about that before!

I can listen to all of Stevie's solo albums without pause. Same with OOTC.
