I love her. I think she is incredible. I could not express it any better. What a class act.

Ditto. I got goosebumps when I read it.

I already have a ton of admiration and respect for Stevie but I think I now have even more. A total class act and such a wonderful woman...

[Merf]

Awww, that made my day.

Stevie really is a class act

[golden braid]

I love Stevie.

[David]

Stevie . . . gotta love her.

[darklinensuit]

Nice note. And now I can't wait to hear the new songs.

So cool! I love her little drawing of the sword, at first I wa like...wth is that? hhaha...she's so cute! I love her...

[Livia]

Yup, this is very cool, bless her heart!!! It's so typical Stevie - especially the misspelling of "extremely" and that memorable line from the Wizard of Oz, when Glenda said to Dorothy, "Just 'clip' your heels together three times..."

Not meant to be slam at all, I'm just sayin' - ya gotta love her!! And it's an occupational hazard with me, I'm a natural proofreader....

[sodascouts]

"Ancient words" - I love Stevie! The misspelling shows that it is from her directly, no one telling her to change it. Makes me love her even more!

[Hawkeye]

I think it's beyond great that Stevie did this, and from what I could read it seems touching, but that's just it I'm having a tough time reading it Could someone transcribe it.

[Johnny Stew]

Here it is, Hawkeye....

Dear fans

Thank you all so much for your wonderful birthday wishes. It certainly made turning 56 years old easier, and yes, I do read them.
Thank you especially to all the messages from the troops who took the time out of their extreamly (sic) difficult days to remember me... If I really did have a magic wand ~ I would wish you all home ~ clip my ruby slippers and make the world all well again. But not Dorothy ~ and not Stevie ~ can do that ~ but I pray for you every day and hope someone will find an answer...
My love and respect for what you are trying to do ~ knows no bounds ~ I wish you the sword of Excalibur ~ you are all heroes to us back here where we live in relative safety ~ and we appreciate you every minute of every day. When I start to write songs for my next record, you will be in those pages... as you should be... Thank you so much for being so good and so brave ~

All my love,
Stevie Nicks

And the days go by like a strand ~
in the wind ~ in the web
that is my own ~ I begin again...

"And then suddenly
there was no one
~ left standing in the hall ~
In a flood of tears
that no one ever really heard ~
fall at all
I went searching
for an answer
up the stairs and down
the hall
I did not find an answer ~
But I did hear the call ~
of a nightbird
Somewhere
on the edge of
seventeen..."

These ancient words seemed appropriate.
