The new Rolling Stone features our favorite band in one of the 50 greatest moments in rock and roll! Usually RS leaves FM and Lindsey in particular out.

It was basically the making of Rumors, which I think they titled the moment a "Coked out Masterpiece" or something in reference to the drugs, nice blurb though as it does say how good the album was, oh a cute Stevie quote to boot. "It wasn't until recently I realized how good it[Rumors] was, it's like our pensions..."

See when I read "moment" I thought it would be a MOMENT...not however long it took to make Rumours.
Try some cool thing they did on stage, etc. Jeez! I LOVE Rumours as much as anyone else here if not more but they did do other stuff!

I hate how they (media, whatever) always refer to Rumours as coked out, or drugged, blah blah blah. It's not like they were on drugs all the time--a good portion of the time, perhaps, but it's not even a stoner album for crying out loud. I suppose that's what they're known for, unfortunately or fortunately, but it's just a little boring to hear time and time again.

Why didn't they do Silver Springs from the Dance video? That is an actual moment (not a year) and it was very intense. That would make more sense if you asked me.

Twenty or even fisteen years ago I could count on RS for a bit of respect for Fleetwood Mac (other than in the reviews). These days RS just sucks. I can't imagine the circulation is great these days. Does anybody here subscribe?
And thanks for the info, Vianna. I'm sure I would have missed it. I don't even pick up the magazine for browsing. - Jake

I used to subscribe years ago, and just a few months ago I subscribed again because I got one of those offers for like $2 for a year. So I figured it was worth a couple of bucks. So far, there have been a few interesting articles. But there's a lot of crap too. I haven't read the "moments" article yet. I still haven't read the last issue with D12 on the cover...

I like how they printed that God-awful photo of them looking strung out. I hate it when mags still refer to Rumours as a drug-induced masterpiece. I KNOW drugs were under heavy consumption by the band, but I do not believe the album was influenced by drugs. (ok except for Gold Dust Woman).
