Or is she just going to stick with her gig with Fleetwood Mac? I wonder if FM will be making another cd?

There will be a new solo album, but I'll be winning to wait briefly if they re-release Buckingham/Nicks and tour behind it.
I'd love for them to do just that plus about six solo songs each, with both of them onstage through every song. - Jake

That to me sounds like a bit of a stretch, that means that Buckingham/Nicks would have to do fairly well in order to tour behind it, unless the go for smaller venues ::salivates:: |

I would love to have a BuckinghamNicks cd release and tour but realistically I can't see it happening. I just do not think that Stevie or Lindsey would want to do that to John and Mick at this point. It is pretty much the Stevie Lindsey show right now anyway but with that impeccable, rocking rhythm section! Now, if they would just include a few BN tunes..we would be set!
Frozen Love Crystal Without You Lola......oh, what a dream show! As for the original topic, I would love for them to just start working on another FM album after a break from touring. However, its more likely that Stevie will want to do something solo first. I think she still has one or two more albums in her contract.

I think Johnny Stew can varify this but if memory serves, when Stevie signed to do Trouble In Shangri La, she also signed to do either two or three more albums after that. So, even if Fleetwood Mac do jump back into recording an album from the ground up (and I would LOVE that), Stevie will still have to make those records at some point so whether it be now or a few years down the road, they're coming!

I'd say: call the next Fleetwood mac album BuckinghamNicks. Problem solved.

I Prey that Lindsey and Stevie do not go solo after this tour and just start their from the ground up album. How's that for the title of the album if they do that "From the Ground Up." And guys guess what the person to most likely go solo after the tour is Lindsey not Stevie. But I'm sure if Lindsey does it Stevie will follow.Wouldn't that be the weirdest thing. Lindsey and Stevie both touring at THE SAME TIME seperately. Thats never happened before and what if tehy were both in town the same night, Lindsye in some small theatre, Stevie at an amphitheatre. I'm sure they'd try not to do that, but it'd be a weird scenario. To solve it, just do Fleetwood Mac and make the new album I'm calling "From the Ground Up"

i hope for a new FM too, i mean, if there was a chance she'd make another BD or TWH i'd love that even more, but it seems to me that at this point she'd never get a producer who's stronger than her, and might be able to prevent her from recording the likes of Too Far From Texas or That Made Me Stronger. currently the only one who might be nearing this position is lindsey, not to say TISL didn't have it's moments, but overall her work on SYW was even better in my opinion, and of course more adventurous. lindsey's FM stuff is just an excellent bonus since his solo stuff either never gets released or (and excuse me) suck.
although if i was stevie's advisor i'd be hoping she'd be making a solo project, coz at this point it looks like she's only (and excuse my language) consolidating her iconic presence as a solo artist, something FM are way past.

A Lindsey produced solo album by Stevie would rock the planet! I can only imagine what he could do with some of her new writings. However, I hope to have more Fleetwood Mac music in the future and LB trying to venture into the rocky waters of Stevie's solo efforts is dangerous!! They barely made it through SYW without "exploding into a mass of timbers"...could you see LB saying to Stevie "um, why don't we cut FFG back a bit..its too long".
Even though it was ok for John Shanks to do so, somehow I think if LB tried the same thing, Stevie would not go for it. Please God, no more Sheryl Crow produced albums. John Shanks actually does a pretty good job with some of her stuff although he can overproduce her. I like what he did with Planets very much but no matter what, Lindsey will ALWAYS be Stevie's best producer because he just "gets her". A great example, IMO, is a song like GB. He did not overdo the song, he added such gentle guitar work and enticed such a beautiful vocal out of her. Everytime I hear the beginning notes to GB, I am struck by how much it sounds like a lullaby. He just understands how to bring out the best in her songs and seems to see the bigger picture, even when Stevie herself might not see it. What he did with Gypsy....a true masterpiece. Her piano demo is, if I am being kind, sparse and beyond simplistic. He "saw" what she was trying to find and he turned those random lyrics and sparse melody into something so fantastic. None of her other producers, with the exception of maybe JI way back when, have the ability to do that. Just the addition of LB's guitar work on I Miss You jumps right out at me and is what really makes that song for me. So, yes I would love for Lindsey to produce her solo album but I would also worry that they might not make it through. More Fleetwood Mac..from the ground up this time. Not two solo albums crammed together on one cd. Can you imagine joint writing? Oh my.
