Default Happy Birthday Stevie!!!

Yes, I will say Happy Birthday here as I just came from the Nicksfix and did not see the usual 'send Stevie a greeting for her birthday' section. Is it gone already, or was it skipped this year? Could we make this thread something sort of like that-maybe someone will see it and bring it to her attention?
Anyways, I think I would've said something like: Stevie, Do you know how many people love you? I mean, people who are such ardent fans that the years diminish nothing-they only make us love you more. Your fans are not fickle teeny bopper fans who might be gone next year-we are die hards, looking forward to each next album and thrilled (and hopefully part of the reason why) your career has lasted so long! Thank you for making each one of us feel like a certain song was written exclusively for us or for making each one of us feel you are singing only to us at any of your shows. Each one of us feels like we have a deeper understanding of at least one song that noone else does, so thanks for making it such a personal experience for each and every one of us. We are your fans for life. Thank you!!! Ricoh

Exclamation Happy Birthday...

to good ol' Stevie.

The local OKC classic rock station KRXO is going to play some Mac this afternoon for an hour to celebrate her b-day (I heard this I drove home from my Dr.'s appt. this morning for my FUBAR throat problem.)

Talking Happy Birthday Stevie!!

Hope you have a wonderful day and PLEASE take care of that throat! I heard them give her a shout out on KZPS this morning and they couldn't decide whether to play a Stevie song or a Band song, because it's Levon Helms' birthday too. They had played an FM song earlier because they are giving tickets away, but I turned it back to Kidd Kraddick and missed if they did play a Stevie song.

BTW, here are some other birthdays today.

May 26:
Actor James Arness is 81.
Singer-drummer Levon Helm of The Band is 64.
Drummer Garry Peterson of The Guess Who is 59.
Actor Philip Michael Thomas ("Miami Vice") is 55.
Actress Pam Grier is 55.
Country singer Hank Williams Jr. is 55.
Actress Margaret Colin is 47.
Actress Genie Francis ("General Hospital") is 42.
Comedian Bobcat Goldthwait is 42.
Singer Lenny Kravitz is 40.
Actress Helena Bonham Carter is 38.
Drummer Phillip Rhodes of The Gin Blossoms is 36.
Actor Joseph Fiennes ("Shakespeare in Love") is 34.
Singer Joey Kibble of Take 6 is 33.
"South Park" co-creator Matt Stone is 33.

Let's all celebrate by playing the "Happy Birthday, Barbara" mp3 56 times in a row.

Happy Birthday, Stevie... thanks for the past 31 years of terrific music, and hopefully for many more to come.
And thank you for being a bright spot when life is full of darkness.
