Default Stevie/Heart Connection?

Is there one?

I know that These Dreams was offered to Stevie, but she turned it down & Heart did this #1 song instead. Anything else? Just curious, I love Heart.

Paula

PS - Also, I have a (really bad quality) boot of Heart doing What About Love with Stevie & Grace Slick (they intro them before they start the song.) Does anyone:

1) have a better quality copy of this song (mine's about a C-/D+)

2) know what date/show/venue it's from?

The only thing I know is that they are friends. Stevie mentioned it in a '94 article/interview (Music Paper), and talked about how she feels it's important to stay in touch with the other rock 'n' roll women of her same age.

I've seen interviews where Ann & Nancy both say how much they like Stevie, and how SMART they think she is. In one of the interviews, they talk about Stevie singing "Goldfish & The Ladybug" for them & telling them the entire story that she would include in the children's book version of the song.

Also, Ann was a guest at the Bob Welch & Friends concert -- the one that came out on video in the '80s where Stevie does one of the best "Gold Dust Woman"s ever, rocking out in a miniskirt and dancing tambourine-in-hand to Mick's drum solos at the end of the song. At one point in the concert, Ann is trying to get onstage (because she thinks it's her cue, maybe ???), and seems to get in a shouting match with someone. You can't hear the argument, only see it off to the side of the screen.

I know there are more, but that's all I can think of at the moment. Right now, I have to run and find my Bob Welch & Friends bootleg. I MUST see that GDW performance, and fast!

That is SO WEIRD - I JUST got this boot in a trade & watched it for the first time yesterday - you are so right - WOW, what a performance of GDW, I love how it seemed it was never going to end, they were all SO into the tune!

~~~In the late 80's or early 90's Stevie joined Heart on the road for about a week while they were touring. She just got on their plane and traveled with them. I remember Nancy referencing this once in an article I read. Also Mark Andes who played bass in Heart was in Stevie's solo band for the Timespace tour. I too love the Wilson sisters.
Thanks, golddust! I knew about the Mark Andes connection, but not about the Heart tour. Although the sound on the boot is AWEFUL, it sounds like early to mid-80's higher voiced Stevie (maybe pre-RAL?) rather than late 80's. I'll have to give it another listen.
Stevie also appeared with Bob Welch in the Cal Jam II concert, and Heart played there as well, back in like '79 or so.
