I have two questions:
What is that weird percussion thing that Mick is playing? I know Lindsey plays an acoustic, but what exactly is he doing? I would assume harmonics, but I'm not sure. Thanks in advance, Mike |

Mick is playing one of those electronic drum pads, or two to be precise. Each one has a preset drum sound which is alike a 'tick tock' sound, so that all he has to do is hit each one in time and the 'tick tock' sound will come out. Now that I think about it, each one has a delay added to it, or something, so that when he hits one, both 'tick'and 'tock' come out, so really, he only needs one, but uses two because it'd probably be more natural to play.
His red hat, on the other hand, I can't explain! Nor can I explain why I kinda like it. It goes with his red shoes, and altogether it adds to the magical 'aura' (for lack of a better word) of that song. Lindsey has really perfected his guitar line for that song. He starts off playing about two to three notes each beat. I'm not sure what you mean by 'is he playing harmonics', but he's basically just playing the guitar notes you hear in the album version. Then after the first verse or something, and right up to the last chorus, he makes it more complicated by playing four notes - a single followed by a rapid triplet (sorry, as you can tell I'm not up with musical theory - something tells me that there's no such thing as a 'single' ). It's an awesome sound. But it often drowns out Stevie etc if you're standing right in front of Lindsey because, well, he's playing the guitar right in front you.
