Angry Am I the only one?

Ok, well I was talking to some people and we got on the topic of 'Enchanted' I said I liked the version of Rhiannon. They looked at me like I was crazy. They HATE that version. Am I alone on this one? Where's the love?

It's not a horrible version, and it has its merits... but I think the most compelling piano version of "Rhiannon" is the one Stevie performed on VH1's 'Storytellers.'

I sometimes forget to breathe when I'm watching that clip... and that, ladies and gentlemen, is the power of Stevie Nicks.

I completely agree Johnny Stew! There is no better piano version that just sends shivers down your spine like the VH1 Storytellers. Although, the version on Enchanted isn't bad either.

I'm tossed up on this version. I don't love it, or hate it. So, I just don't listen to it . By the way, I always felt that the Enchanted version and the Stortellers version sounded the same

I like this version. Very non-commercial.

So do I. I like the on-air performances of "Rhiannon" from a bunch of those 1994 radio interviews. Part of the thrill of hearing those at that time was the exciting realization that Stevie had gotten her voice back -- or developed a new one, depending on how you want to look at it -- from the Mirror/Mask/Timespace years.

my favorite has to be from the 1981 Wiltern Theater show (video). It's Stevie at her most graceful moment. I think her voice flowed so smoothly over Roy Bittan's beautiful playing.

I love her vocals on those, but I don't at all care for the sound of the synthesizer she's playing.
It cheapens the song for me... so the 'Storytellers' version wins out, hands down.
