What songs/parts of songs just...well...get to you...move you, ya know? This doesn't mean you have to cry over it or anything...it just kinda grabs you I guess.
For me: Gypsy - Especially on the extended version at the part "I still see your bright eyes...I can't find you." Hold Me - Just that bit near the end with the musical "bridge" (on the video, Stevie's walking across the sand holding her painting). There's a guitar thing and it's probably my favorite part and it can get to me. I'll post more later.

The guitar solo for ISA gets me every time.
Red Rover...when he sings "night and night" and the guitar parts throughout the song. When LB sings "ooh ooh ooh" in Beautiful Child when she sings "You touch, I have no choice, I have to stay." The opening guitar riff to Rhiannon gives me chills everytime I hear it. ![]() The bass and guitar solos in The Chain really pumps me up! The guitar solo in Isn't It Midnight The drum part at the end of GYOW The drum parts in Big Love When Miss Stevie breaks her voice in Smile at You Guitar solo at the end of Destiny Rules and Smile at You The opening riff of Little Lies

Hmm my main two 'get to me' moments in Mac music are:
And I say, could it be me / Could it really, really be Over & over. / Could it really, really be. Don't turn me away / And don't let me down What can I do / To keep you arooo-ouuu-uund Over & over, over & over, over & over .... Great BN & Christine harmonies! Come where no one's gone before / And aint ne'er comin back Well, that's the way it goes sometimes / The price is a little too much Two little children on reverie hill / They looked... but they couldn't touch This amazing song begs for Stevie & Lindsey to sing together! The intro to Seven Wonders always gives me a buzz - takes me right back to a certain place and time, just like the song now I think about it. ![]()

Well here's some of mine in no particular order:
-When Christine's voice goes really low for "Raaain" "Morning Rain" -The bridge and cowbell in Hold Me...just love it -The first three words in "Do You Know" -"You make me feeeel I-I-I just can't carry on..." -GDW howl from the Dance. -Christine's (?) descant over the harmony in "Save Me A Place" -Third chorus of "Think About Me" -All of "Spare Me A Little..." That's all I can think of for now, Shamus ![]() |

I love the end of Silver springs (The Dance) where she screams you'll never get away never get away never get away.
Love the howl during GDW The closing lines of songbird The Long instrumental at the end og GYOW from the dance. The Live Version of Rhiannon from the 1980 live album where she belts out the line "Dream on silly dreamer try hard not to leave her" Matt ![]() |

On Beautiful Child -- when Lindsey and Stevie harmonize "Your hands held mine, so few hours...and then Chris comes in with "I fell into love" .... Lovely.
During Sara: "When you build your house, then please call me hooooommme" John's bass solo during The Chain How Chris sings "Because I feel that when I'm with you, it's all right" during Songbird The coda of I'm so Afraid During Storms: "I did not deal with the road/and I did not deal with you, I know/though the love has always been" ~Krista Last edited by GypsySorcerer; 01-18-2004 at 09:04 PM.. |

Definitely the beginning of Little Lies, in fact, the first twelve seconds of the song is just brilliant.
The classical guitar bit at the beginning and at the end of the lyrics of TITN. Songbird, alone, is just so... beautiful and peaceful.

So Many so instead I'll do the ones that "got to me" at the concert.
Beautiful Child: never really cared for this song before, but hearing it LIVE especially when she sings "sleepless child" and "to trusting yes, but women usually are" gets to me, I actually cried, something I NEVER do for music. I am sooo happy to have found the Oakland version online since it was the one I heard ![]() Landslide: how Stevie held out "snow covered hills" WOW, I was like can someone really do that. Plus she looked sooo happy after finishing that song ![]() |

"Beautiful Child" and Stevie's "Beauty And The Beast" always get me. I've cried before while listening to both of them.
I think with BC, it's the "Too trusting, yes" line. With BATB, it's "Would you die of grieving when I leave?" Add to that the live renditions where Stevie sounds really sad, and I'm a mess. |

Silver Springs: As you say the end bit, Yeah I agree with you there, that is so haunting and sends shivers down my spine, especially as she is looking at Lindsey when she sings it. Gypsy: The intro and the bit where she sings "well I have no fear, I have only love etc etc, enough to lovvvvvvvve" Edge of Seventeen: Just like a white wing dove, sings a song sounds like she's singin. Eyes of the World: The intro, and the do, do, do, dos by Lindsey and Christine (as they have eye contact during the mirage concert). Sisters of the Moon: The intro is excellent, bass n drums bit, you can imagine a black widow spider waiting in the shadows. I could go on........... Lorraine ![]() |

On the Dance version of Landslide... when she sings "and if you see my reflection in the snnnooooowwwwww..... covered... hills..." and that little guitar lick Lindsey plays, and then "Well maybe... The Landslide will bring you down...", and the kiss. Awww
... It gets me every time.-Why- Well, the whole damn song. I especially love after they all sing the "you don't have to give up" part, and the guitar solo that builds up at the end... so beautiful. First time I heard it, I cried. -All Over Again- The whole song... The words alone tear me up. But Christine's vocal on that song really just gets me. So pretty. -The howls, breaking glass and guitar work at the end of Gold Dust Woman. -Lindsey's screaming at the end of Go Insane (The Dance), and how he sings the final line so softly .-The harmonies in Dreams. -The beginning drum part in Hypnotized. -Over and Over on Live: "... and don't let me down (let me down agaaiin)" -When Stevie joins Lindsey on the chorus of Frozen Love -On an alternate take of Oh Daddy, when Stevie adds in some extra vocals, which are quite prominent. -Lindsey's vocal on WMYTYTO ![]() There are SO many more, but I can't list all of them.

And Christine's little line on that chorus is great too.

Christine's "Show Me A Smile", the fact that she sees the light after the tunnel in "Why" (my favorite Fleetwood Mac song ever
) and of course "Songbird". Also the harmonies on "Hold Me".Lindsey's "Say Goodbye" is very meaningful for various reasons and it gives me goosebumps all the time. Stevie... the original "Landslide" is very emotional; also the "never get away's" on "Silver Springs". I could also name Danny's "Dust", Bob's "Emerald Eyes" and Peter's "Man Of The World" (possibly the saddest song ever written!) as other songs that 'get to me'. ![]() Song of the moment - This Is The Rock
